i am very confused in the way the options given .it is really dangerous.

sir, i opted for iit.due to some reasons i could not concentrate on my 1st year.i am not at all satisfied with the coaching given in my college i started taking coaching in an institute which is quite far from my home i come back at 9:00 in the evng.i am unable to manage with my college and inst work.i am losing lot of time due to this.my parents lost hope in me they are asking me to leave iit and go for emcet but i dont want to compramise on my dream.i will work for more hours.i am following hc verma and tmh for physics,op tondon for chemistry.i am going with akash material for maths .please suggest me if any best books are to be followed.i would be thankful if you send me some tips to improve

while preparing for the iitjee its important to refer the well understandable books.
because if the data or the syllabus books is systematically arranged then it will be easy to understand the concepts.

all the ncert books are helpful for the understanding of the concepts.

for the physics book written by Dr. h.c.verma is much useful.

for the study of the chemistry books written by o.p. tondon and o.c.agrawal are very much useful. also for the more practice you can refer books of dinesh publications for the chemistry.

for the study of the maths you must prefer book of arihant publications because it is really helpful for solving variety of quality numericals.

you can refer the question papers of the different coaching centers for the more practice.

the above mentioned books are easily available on the local book stores.

Preparation for IIT-JEE

though there are many books for IIT-JEE but none of the books will be able to provide you with the complete syllabus and total preparation for IIT-JEE so i would suggest you to buy the study material of any coaching institute which will be really helpful because that will contain all the syllabus for IIT-JEE plus it would have IIT-JEE level questions and chapter wise break-up and explanation of each topic in PCM..

it is always better to take up coaching for IIT-JEE unless you have someone to guide you for the correct preparation..
the teachers at the coaching centre share valuable experience which will help you a lot in your approach for the exams and moreover..the best thing is..you will be having someone from whom you can clear all your doubts..

its totally your personal choice to do whatever you feel is good for you..

as far as books are concerned for IIT-JEE preparations..

first of all..be completely thorough with your NCERT course books..after that for higher preparations..go for
1)M.L.Khanna for maths
2)Concepts of Physics
3)P.Bahadur for Chemistry

and also go through the past papers of IIT-JEE..that will help you in understanding the level of the exam..

Though a lot of books are available in the market only few of them are exact according to JEE syllabus and depth.

Here are the names of few books which can help you out in the easiest way:

Physics: First NCERT and then H. C. Verma, D. C. Pandey
Chemistry: NCERT(Most important), Pradeep objective chemistry, O. P Tandon,
Maths: NCERT, Arihant Series, M. L. Khanna., R.D. Sharma for IITJEE

Other tips: Though many may suggest solving IRODOV for PHYSICS I woould say that it may increase your level but as far as JEE is concerned it is a complete waste of time. As the questions asked in JEE are never so high level and not even half of it.

in iit-jee,it is not recommended to refer large no. of books,just refer correct books.
1.Physics:H.C.Verma vol. 1&2
2.Maths:M.L.Khanna or Agraval
3.Chemistry:Just go through NCRTE i.e. CBSE textbooks of chemistry.nothing will come from outside these books.or for numerical you can refer 'Mukherji'
Give more preference to your self study.Start practicing the old question papers or question banks.best of luck

I'm in class eleventh studying in Anand Kumar's SUPER30.....i have found that there hundreds of suggestion by different experts they all have their own choice. The problem arises that many of them says that you have go with at least 2 or more books for a single subject. I just want the best, i.e., the book should be good in theory part as well as problem approch....
