Which types of post we can apply after qallify ies exam in indianrailways.what is the label of ies exam.how i can crack ies exam.what ,there is rerevation in ies exam accordings to marks.

Basic Information About IES In order to join the ranks of theIndian Engineering Services you must clear the Engineering Services Examination which is conducted by the UPSC every year.. Eligibility Criterion :- A candidate is eligible to appear for the engineering services exam only if :- 1) The candidate must be within the age limit of 21-30 years if general..21-33 years for OBC and 21-35 years for SC/ST.. 2) The candidate must have completed his B.E/B.Tech in any of the following streams :- >>Civil Engineering >> Mechanical Engineering >> Electrical Engineering >> Electronics and Communications Engineering Note :- The maximum number of attempts applicable for the general candidates is 4, for OBC its 7 and there is no limit for the SC/ST candidates.. I have attached a few previous year question papers of IES along with this post for your reference.. You can go through these papers and I hope they will help you in your preparations and make you familiarized with the pattern of the examination.. The notification for the forms was released on 10th March,2012 The last date to submit the completed application form was 9th April,2012 The Exam was held on 15th June,2012 So, next your the dates shall be somewhere around this only.. IES - INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICES, the exam for which is conducted by UPSC once every year for appointment of young engineers in the top technical post under various Dept. of Central Govt.
The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree in Engineering or pass in any stream preferably in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics & Telecommunication branch within the age of 21 to 30 year with upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years and for OBC candidate up to 3 years. The selection is through written exam from Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics & Telecommunication branch followed by personal Interview. The IES exam has already been completed for this year on 15.06.2012 so if you are interested you can apply for the same for the next year. * IES Stands for "Indian Engineering Services". * The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the IES exam every year as "Engineering Services Examination". * The Eligibility Criteria Required For IES Exam are : 1) You must have completed your B.Tech in any one of the following streams - a] Mechanical Engineering b] Civil Engineering c] Electronics & Electrical Engineering d] Electronics & Communication Engineering 2) Your age must lie in between 21-30 years. 3) There is also a relaxation in upper age for candidates of reserved categories. 4) Maximum Number Of Attempts - For General Category - 4 For OBC Category - 7 For SC/ST Category - No Limit This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Indian Engineering Services (IES) are the civil services that meet the technical and managerial functions of the Government of India.The exam is conducted by UPSC in June / July India-wide.The candidates are selected on the basis of merit. IES officers are selected by the union government on the recommendations made by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Large number of candidates take this exam,competing for limited seats In order to sit for a competitive exam , an individual must fulfill certain eligiblity criteria that are listed below : 1)Educational qualifications :- At least a bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E. / B. Tech) from a recognised university or equivalent. M.Sc degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as special subjects also acceptable for certain services / posts only. 2)Age limits :- 21-30 years on 1 August of the year of Engineering Services Examination.However there is a relaxation given to SC/ST candidates Upto a maximum of five years . 3)candidates has to be a citizen of India.
