after completion of B.E anybody can appear for IPS...please tell me can i do it

In order to join Indian Police Service (IPS) as an officer, one must possess a bachelors degree in any discipline. No matter which stream you followed, what combination of subjects you had and how much you secured in the qualifying examination, if you have completed your bachelors degree program, you are eligible to apply for Indian Police Service. Selection of Officers in Indian Police Service is based on the performance of the candidate in the Civil Service Examination. The Civil Service Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission once a year and comprise of three stages:

Preliminary Exam: Written Test
Main Exam: Written Test and Interview

Qualifying each stage of the examination is mandatory to move on to the next level. Apart from being a graduate, you will need to be within the age limit of 21-30 years, to be considered eligible for Civil Service Examination. For candidates belonging to SC/ST category, the required percentage of marks is relaxed upto 5 years and for candidates belonging to OBC category, the maximum age limit is relaxed upto 3 years.

Yes. Of course you can appear for Indian Police Service(IPS). To join IPS one must clear the civil service examination organised by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC). The eligibility criteria for this exam is bachelors degree in any stream from any UGC recognised university. The age limit is 21-30 years and a relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years relaxation for SC/ST. So after completion of B.E you can appear for civil service exam to become an IPS officer. All students who have completed their Graduation or equivalent,irrespective of their subjects are eligible to appear for the Civil Service exams provided they meet all other requirements too.

The notifications of release of forms of the civil services exams are released by the month of January-end and the last date to apply is in about the first week of March.
-
You can either apply online on the website - www.upsconline.nic.in
or, apply online by purchasing the form from the nearest regional post office !!

The complete eligibility criteria for the Civil Service exams are mentioned below ::

01. NATIONALITY.
You must be a citizen of India,
or,You must be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan,
or,You must be a Tibetan refugee settled permanently in India before 1962.

02. AGE LIMITS.
You must be 21 to 30 years of age.
However, the upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST & ex-servicemen and by 3 years for OBC & Physically Disabled.

03. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS.
You must have completed your Graduation or equivalent from a recognized university with any subject or stream.
Final year students are also applicable.
Only passing percentage is required.

04. NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS.
For general category : 04
For OBC candidates : 07
For SC/T candidates : Unlimited.

Of course you can do it after completing B.E. IPS which stands for Indian Police Service has very important role to play in maintaining law and order in the country. IPS officers have wide range of responsibilities like:

1. Providing security cover to VIP

2. Take part in counter terrorism operations with BSF and CRPF in bordering states as well states affected with Naxalism.

3. To tackle issue of trafficking of children, drugs as well gold and arms.

4. Control law and order in the district during the violence.

To become IPS officer, a person is required to appear in Civil Service Examination which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. This exam takes place every year.

The educational requirement for IPS exam is graduation degree. It does not matter if you have completed B.A. B.Com or B.E., you are eligible as long as you have graduation degree. Therefore you are eligible for the IPS Exam. However there are some physical requirements which you are also expected to meet. Make sure you meet them as well before applying.


Eligibility

1. The person should be Indian Citizen.

2. He should have graduation degree in any stream from a recognised university.


Age Limit

The age limit for IPS Exam is 21 to 30 years.

For SC/ST candidates it is 21 to 35 years.

OBC - 21 to 33 years.


Number of Attempts

General - 4

OBC - 7

SC/ST - No limits


Physical Requirements

Height

Male - 165 cm/ 160 Cm for ST

Female - 150 cm/ 145 cm for ST

Definitely you can appear for IPS exam after completing B.E from a recognized university.

IPS stands for Indian Police Service. The exam is conducted by UPSC. The exam is considered to be one of the most toughest exam in India.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

1)AGE:
The general candidates age must be between 21-30 years.
The SC/ST candidates age must be between 21-35 years.
The OBC candidates age must be between 21-33 years.

yes ,you are eligible to attended IPS after B.E
your age should be 21-28 year
you should have to pass exam criteria like-:
1. csat
2. Written Test
3. Interview
you should given 4 chance to genral,7 chance to obc,no any chance limit to the sc/st candidates.

Yeah! Shore you are eligible for IPS(Indian Police Service) exam, any graduation completed candidate can be eligible for IPS exam.

For this you have to crack civil services examination which is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission).

Eligibility criteria:-

***The candidate should be complete bachelor's degree or equivalent degree from a recognised university.

***Percentage is not required to crack this exam.

***The candidate must be a citizen of india.

***The age limits are 21 years to 30 years,

3 years upper age relaxation for the OBC candidates,
