There is no specific Specialization to apply for IAS Examination . Any stream candidate may eligible to apply for IAS Examination .

( ie :- Say for Example the candidate who complete the bachelor degree like, B.com / BCA / BBA / BA / B.sc / etc.. Any bachelor degree holder may eligible to apply for IAS Examination .

So , don't worry . You may choose any stream in 11th standard in which you have interested .

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service . This Examination is conducted by (Union Public Service Commission) . It is one of the Civil Service Examination .

The Examination is divided into three stages namely , Preliminary Examination , Main Examination and Interview .

To apply for this Examination you need to qualified in Bachelor degree in any discipline from recognized university .

There is no Minimum percentage of marks require for IAS Examination . Say for Example if you score low percentage of marks in Bachelor degree also eligible to apply for this Examination . So, It clear the the no Minimum percentage of marks to apply for IAS Examination . Final year candidate may also eligible to apply for this Examination .

Your age should be 21 years to 30 years and relaxation is applicable for sc/st candidate and obc candidates .

The Important Notification and details regarding IAS Examination may published in Employment and News paper and Official Website of UPSC .

I suggest to watch employment news papers regularly . So that you may get more Information regarding IAS Examination .

So, you may choose in any stream which in which you have Interested . Since you have lot of time to prepare for this Examination .

Dear friend,
You have done 10th class , and you are looking like IPS aspirant..
Then you have to complete your graduation course first..
After completion of graduation course you can apply for IPS exam..
Through IPS exam you will be able to become IPS officer..
So, after completion of 10th class , you just go for 12th class, then go for the graduation course without wasting any time..

Eligibility for IPS exam:-

Educational qualification

1.Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade from a recognized university.
2.Final year candidates are also eligible for the exam.
3.No such percentage criteria is required..

Age limit

1.Candidates age should be in between 21-30 years.
For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years.

Nationality

1.Candidate should be a citizen of India.

These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill.
So, try to complete the graduation course as soon as possible with a good percentage of aggregate.
It does not matter that in which stream you have done the graduation , you just have to complete the graduation in any stream...

Hello,
The Eligibility for appearing in the IAS examination conducted by the UPSC is as follows-:

Candidate must be a Bachelor's degree holder or appearing in the final year of their graduation or candiadates awaiting results can also apply provided that they can produce the proof of such during the Main examination.

The age limit is 21-30 years with relaxation for Obc/Sc/ST candidates.

Please note that the maximum number of attempts allowed for the IAS examination is FOUR for UNRESERVED candidates and whereas,SEVEN for OBC and no limit for the SC/ST candidates.

There are THREE stages-:

2.MAINS
3.INTERVIEW.

As you might be very much aware that in order to get through this examination one needs to dedicate themselves 100 percent towards their preparation.Hard work and patience is required and with some coaching, one can get through.

As you have just passed your 10th standard, there is lots of time before you will be eligible for the IAS examination. And you can choose any stream as graduation is the eligibility for it.

Its good that you have set your AIM at the initial stages,it will help you to prepare for your dream job and you will move slowly towards your goal making easier for you.

Good Luck.
