IPS EXAM is conducted by UPSC though CIVIL SERVICE exam.The details of this exam is given below.

The IPS selection process is consist in three way

1)Preliminary exam
2)Main exam
3)Inter View.

DETAILS ABOUT CIVIL SERVICE EXAM

Civil service exam exam conducted by UPSC.There is no marks criteria.Only graduate are applicable for you.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

Candidate should have minimum graduation degree with any discipline from a recognized university.

AGE CRITERIA:

For General category candidate,age should be between 21 to 27 years
For OBC category candidates age should be between 21 to 30 years
For SC/ST category candidates age should be between 21 to 35 years.

NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:
4 attempts for General category candidates
7 attempts for OBC category candidates
Unlimited attempts for sc/st category candidates

Eligibility Criterion For IPS Exam

A candidate must clear the Civil Service Exams which is conducted by the UPSC..

For appearing in the Civil Service Exams.. a candidate must fulfill the following minimum conditions :-

1) The candidate must have completed his/her graduation from a recognized University in any stream

2) The age limit for the general candidates should be within 21-30 years,for OBC its 21-33 years and for SC/ST its 21-35 years

NOTE :- The maximum number of attempts for the general category is 4,for OBC its 7 and for SC/ST there is no limit..

Other than the age relaxation, there is no such seat reservation for any category..

The exam is conducted in 2 rounds :-

1) Prelims :- The candidates are tested on their general knowledge,current affairs and aptitude skills in 2 objective papers..

2) Mains :- Candidates who clear the Prelims qualify for the Mains which consist of 9 papers :-

>> Paper 1 - One Indian language..
>> Paper 2 - English
>> Paper 3 - Essay
>> Paper 4 and 5 - Both the papers are on general studies.
>> Paper 6 to 9 - Optional subjects to be selected by candidate

If you clear the Mains then you shall be called for the final interview..

The forms for the Prelims shall be released on 4th February,2012 and the last date to submit the forms is 5th March,2012..

The Prelims shall take place on 20th May,2012 and the Mains will be conducted on 5th October,2012

CSE stands for Civil Service Exam.

Eligibiity Criteria :
1. The interested candidate should complete the graduation with 60%.
2. Age limit for general category 21-30,for OBC 21-33 and for SC/ST caste 21-35 years.
3.There is no quota for your caste.

Type of Exam :
There are three stages in CSE exam.

1.For General candidates 21-30 years.
2.For OBC category 21-33 years.
3.For SC/ST candidates 21-35 years.

1.For general category 4 attempts.
2.For backward class 7 attempts.
3.For SC/ST candidates No limit.
