Re: Am I eligible to appear for Bank PO exam after scoring 49.6% in 10th?
How much marks have to scored in graduation? Have you even completed graduation? These are the important questions here. What you have scored in 10th and 12th doesn't matter.
What matters is your performance in graduation. Because graduation is the requirement to apply for the Bank PO entrance exam whether by Institute of Banking Personnel Services or the State Bank of India. You can not appear for either one if haven't completed graduation. Therefore to get the correct answer, you should have mentioned the percentage scored in graduation. Anyway I am writing down criteria for both exams which will help you determine whether you are eligible for either one or not. IBPS Bank PO This exam is conducted for 19 Public Sector Banks. It is a annual entrance exam which is generally conducted in June/July although it is not a rule. To appear for this exam you must meet the criteria. 1. A graduation degree in any discipline. 2. With 60 percent or more marks. 3. Diploma/degree in Computers. 4. Or you should have studied Computers subject in 12th or college. 5. The age limit is 20 to 28 years for the exam. 6. Relaxation is 3 years for OBC. 7. 5 years for SC/ST. 8. and 10 years for PWD in upper age limit. SBI Bank PO Unlike other Public Sector banks, State Bank of India, which is the largest bank in India, conduct its own entrance exam for Bank Clerk and Bank PO. 1. You must have under graduation degree. 2. 65 percent marks in the degree. 3. SC/ST need 60 percent marks. 4. Must be able to operate Computers. 5. 21 to 30 years is the age limit. 6. 3 years relaxation given for OBC. 7. 5 years is the limit for SC/ST. |

Re: Am I eligible to appear for Bank PO exam after scoring 49.6% in 10th?
No, you are not eligible to apply for bank P.O.after 10th standard.
The minimum educational qualification for bank P.O.is Graduation Degree. P.O. - Probationary Officer, the exam for which is conducted generally by SBI and IBPS. The eligible candidate must be an Indian national having completed Graduation Degree in any stream from arecognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good command over computer operation. There is no need of any percentage of marks criteria in any level of education for application to SBI & IBPS P.O. exam. Some private banks have percentage of marks criteria in Graduation level for application to their bank P.O. exam.
