I am sorry to say that you are not eligible to apply for NDA Exam just after completing 10th standard.

Only 12th/equivalent exam passed or 12th appearing candidates are eligible to apply for NDA Exam.


Detail about NDA

NDA stands for National Defence Academy. NDA Exam is conducted by UPSC twice a year namely as NDA I & NDAII Exam.

UPSC:- Union Public Service Commission

By clearing NDA Exam you can get entry into following defence wings..

-Indian Army(Should be 12th passed)
-Indian Navy(Should be 12th passed with PCM Subjects)
-Indian Air Force(Should be 12th passed with PCM Subjects)


Selection Procedure for NDA:

-Written Test
-Interview
-Medical Test



Pattern of NDA Written Test:




Eligibility criteria for NDA Exam:

• You should have passed 12th standard from State board or recognized school.
  
• There is no percentage limit mentioned for this exam.
  
• 12th appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for NDA Exam.
  
• Your age must be between 16.5 to 19 year.
  
• You must be citizen of India.
  
• Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to appear in NDA Examination.

Sorry, you are not eligible to apply for NDA after 10th CBSE as the minimum academic qualification to apply for NDA is 12th.

National Dfence Academy(NDA) exam conducted by UPSC twice every year for entry in to three wings of NDA:-

-Indian Army
-Indian Navy
-Indian Air Force

To be eligible for NDA, one must be an unmarried Indian male candidate only having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental health.

So as you are interested for NDA, you have to first complete 12th standardand then only you are eligible for NDA but you can start your preparation now for NDA along with your regular studies.

NDA stands for National Defense Academy. Every year the Union Of Public Service Commission(UPSC) conducts entrance examination for admission in the NDA. Examinations namely NDA I and NDA II. Date of the examination are probably on the month of April and another on the month of August.

Eligibility Criteria:

1)Nationality: Should be a Indian

2)Age: 16.5 to 19 years

3)Educational Qualification: Must have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board. Candidate who will take the 10+2 examination this year are also eligible to apply.
For Indian Army- passed 10+2
For Indian Air Force-Passed 10+2 with PCM subjects
For Indian Navy-Passed 10+2 with PCM subjects

4)Sex: Only Male candidates are eligible

5)Martial Status: Unmarried only

6)Physical Fitness: Candidates must satisfy the weight, height, sight and Hearing requirements.
Height & weight: minimum 157.5 cms corresponding to the weight. No overweight or underweight
Eye Sight: Better eye without glasses 6/6 and worse eye without glasses 6/9
Hearing: good hearing power

sorry friend you are not eligible for NDA on the based of 10th but don't worried and complete your 12th in science and then apply for NDA

1. Qualification required -
Candidate should complete the 12th with science (physics,chemistry,math ) from any recognized board .
2. 6/6 vision is required.
3.Age limit = 16.5 to 19 years.

If you can satisfy all of the above you are eligible.

NDA-I exam notification for this year:
Issue of application form from 31st Dec 2011 to 30th Jan 2012.
Exam will held on 15th April 2012.

NDA-II exam notification for this year:
Issue of application form from 5th May 2012 to 4th June 2012.
Exam will held on 19th Aug 2012.
