Am I eligible to apply for UGC NET exam after completion of M.Sc in Physics with specialisation in Electronics? Can you please let me know the criteria followed to apply for the UGC NET exam? It will be helpful if you can get back to me soon. Thanks!

Now, National Eligibility Test is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education for Lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship.
Eligibility criteria for CBSE NET exam: 1. Master's degree in any stream from a recognized university. You need to have at least 55% marks in post graduation to apply for CBSE NET exam. You can apply for UGC NET exam after completion of M.Sc in Physics with specialization in electronics. Your percentage in master's degree should be 55% or more. The upper age limit for Junior Research Fellowship is 28 years and there is no upper age limit for Lectureship. |

The full form of UGC NET is University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test.
Requirements for UGC NET examination is: Academic qualification: Master's degree in any discipline with 55% marks in it. Percentage required for UGC NET exam is 55%. You are eligible to apply for UGC NET exam after completion of M.Sc in Physics. |

Yes, candidates who have done master's degree in any discipline can apply for University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test for Lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship. The minimum percentage of marks which any candidate must have secured in post graduation degree is 55% for NET examination.
NET is conducted by CBSE nowadays on behalf of UGC in June and December. There is no upper age limit for Lectureship but for JRF, it is 28 years. M.Sc in Physics candidates can apply for UGC NET exam subject to meeting minimum percentage criteria. |
