Since you are pursuing Master degree course, there is no point of doing Bachelor of Education. If you are interested in teaching field then simply complete your post graduation and then apply for the National Eligibility Test.

NET or National Eligibility Test is conducted for college lectureship. It would be better option in comparison to school teachers job. Besides it makes better sense to directly apply for lectureship after post graduation, then after post graduation applying for B.Ed followed by TET.

One thing that you will have to ensure is 50 percent marks in post graduation. If you manage to achieve that, then you can easily apply for the National Eligibility Test. This exam is conducted in June and December. You can also apply for it during the final year of post graduation.

Eligibility

1. Candidate should be Indian citizen.

2. Post graduation degree in any discipline.

3. Must have completed post graduation from a UGC recognized university.

4. The percentage required to appear for exam is 55 percent.

5. SC/ST candidates need 50 percent marks.

6. The criteria for OBC is same as General students.

7. Final year students can also apply.

8. But they should be able to submit post graduation degree within 2 years of clearing NET.

9. Your NET subject should be related to post graduation.

10. There is no restriction on number of attempts.

Age Criteria

1. The age limit for JRF is 28 years.

2. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC.

3. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST.

4. There is no upper age limit for college lectureship.
