You can apply for the MBBS although it is not recommended to anyone who has completed B.Sc Nursing. It is a very odd combination which is not recommended at all.

By applying for the MBBS you are making your Nursing degree useless. At the end of the day you can either apply for job of doctor or the Nurse. What is the point of making your 4 years of study go down the drain.

Besides it would be lengthy process as well. You have completed nursing course is 4 years and now it will take another 5 and half years to complete MBBS. It will be much better is you apply for the post graduation course is nursing instead of doing MBBS.

The MBBS course and B.Sc in Nursing have no similarities. You will not get lateral entry if that what you expect. In India lateral entry is not offered for MBBS and neither such degrees are accepted by the Medical Council of India.

The process to apply for MBBS would start with appearing for the NEET entrance exam. You will be eligible for the NEET entrance exam based on your performance in the 12th standard.

It will be mandatory to clear the NEET entrance exam. Having completed B.Sc Nursing will not give you any exemption.

NEET Eligibility

1. Must complete 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

2. At least 50 percent marks in 12th standard.

3. Minimum age should be 17 years to apply.

4. Maximum age is 25 years for the 15% All India Seats.

5. No upper age limit for State Quota Seats.

6. The upper age limit (25) is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST/OBC.
