Re: Am I eligible for UGC NET exam after completing UG and PG management in Anna University
The National Eligibility Test is central level entrance exam for lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship. Since the exam is conducted by the University Grants Commission, your college should be recognized by it.
Since Anna University is recognized by the University Grants Commission, this is not the issue for you. The other requirements are also being met by you. Therefore the answer is Yes, you can appear for the National Eligibility Test. As far as the University Grants Commission is concerned, there is no discrimination between candidates with regular degree and the ones with distance education or correspondence degree. As long as your college is approved by the University Grants Commission, the mode of degree is hardly an issue. This simply means that you can apply for the National Eligiblity Test for Lectureship and JRF. The choice is yours. NET Eligibility 1. Nationality: It should be Indian to apply for NET. 2. Education: Nothing less than post graduation degree. 3. Marks: At least 55 percent in post graduation. 4. Marks (SC/ST) - 50 percent are required. 5. There is no marks relaxation for OBC. 6. Final year students can also apply for exam. 7. Your subject for NET depends of post graduation course. 8. Age Limit (JRF) - It is 19 on the lower side and 28 on the upper side. 9. Relaxation - 3 years if belongs to OBC while 5 years for SC and ST. 10. Age Limit (Lectureship) - Minimum age limit is 19 years while no upper age limit. 11. Attempts - There is no limit. |

Re: Am I eligible for UGC NET exam after completing UG and PG management in Anna University
For UGC NET one must be a Post Graduate in any stream with 55% marks from a recognized University.
You have got 60% marks so you will not have any kind of problem. Distance education degree is accepted so don't worry. For SC/ST/PWD there is 5 % relaxation of marks and they need only 50% marks for it. There is no age limit for Lecturerships but there is age limit for Junior Research fellowships which is below 28 years. Age relaxation of 5 years is given to SC/ST/PWD category candidates. Hence if you fulfill above criteria then surely you will be eligible for UGC NET. Exam Pattern: For more information visit http://www.ugcnetonline.in |

Re: Am I eligible for UGC NET exam after completing UG and PG management in Anna University
Hi friend..........
NET means National Eligibility Test while SET stands for State Eligibility Test. There is very little difference between the two exams. National Eligibility Test is conducted by University Grants Commission for the central government colleges while State Eligibility Test is responsibility of each state to conduct for its colleges. The requirement for both exams remains the same. After clearing NET you can apply for lectureship in central government colleges while after clearing SET, you can apply for job in the very state where you appeared for exam. For example if you appeared for Gujarat SET then you can apply for lectureship in Gujarat's colleges. Apart from the college lectureship both these exams are also conducted for the Junior Research Fellowship. Eligibility Any citizen of India can apply for these exams. You must be post graduation degree holder. Need to secure 55 percent marks in master's degree. Relaxation of 5 percent marks for SC/ST. You are free to apply even during final year of post graduation. Final year candidates will have to submit degree in 2 years. Subject will depend on your master's degree. Age limit for JRF is 28 years (General). 31 year is the limit for OBC. The age limit for SC/ST interested in appearing for JRF is 33 years. There is lower age limit of 19 years for lectureship. There is no upper age limit. All the best............. |
