Hello friend,
The realty boom and economic resurgence in Asia have created a big demand for trained architects.
The duration of the course is 3 years.
The minimum educational qualification required to pursue B.Arch. is +2 with maths. Although most institutes accept state or national entrance exam scores, many conduct their own exams, but students needs to qualify in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), conducted by the Council of Architecture that regulates universities and colleges offering the courses.
Some of the well known institutes offering B.Arch. are
Anna University
University of Pune
University of Mumbai
Punjab Technical University
Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum

yes b.arch is very good stream and also the scope of this exam is very vast. India is growing in on infrastructure. Architects in all feild of constructions such as dams, bridges, bldgs etc are required. But competiton is still stiff. I suggest you you again go for JEE and aim for the IIT.
the duration for this course is five years, and the best colleges are under the AIEEE and IIT.
the eligibility is pass the 12th standard with the math stream.

yes, b.arch is a very good course after 12th.in order to get selected to good colleges in india or say best colleges one has to take examinations like AIEEE and IIT-JEE .standard of aieee is less than iit jee but does not mean that after passing it you will get good colleges . all the NIT colleges and other reputed colleges comes under this exam. iit’s comes under iit jee. a person has to be 12th pass and that to with pcm (physics, chemistry and mathematics). so best of luck.

make sure he atleast get 120 or higher score bcause for admission in colleges 1/4 of the nata score is acknowledged and 1/2 of 12th standard marks both the scores r addded
eg.(NATA Score 120=30) + (12 Marks 70=35)= 65 this overall score is taken into account
