Re: Best career options for a 70% marks scorer in PCM?
You have scored well in 12th standard. I will really recommend you to go for Engineering course. There are several branches of Engineering therefore you should choose wisely. Some of the branches are:
Civil Mechanical Electrical Electronics and Communications Computer Science Marine Information Technology Aerospace Automobile Chemical I will recommend you Electronics and Communications or the Mechanical Engineering. One of the reason I am recommending Engineering is because it will provide you good opportunities in government as well private sector. You have scored well in 12th which will be critical when applying for job in private sector as your marks in 10th, 12th and graduation will be evaluated when applying for the job. To do Engineering course you should now appear for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) which is the replacement of AIEEE and IIT-JEE. There are two stages of JEE which are known as JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. You will have to appear for JEE Mains first which is replacement of AIEEE and conducted for 15 percent All India seats. While appearing for JEE Advanced is optional. This exam is for candidates who want admission in Indian Institutes of Technology. In my opinion you should appear for both. If possible take admission in IIT as it would change your life and guarantee bright future. JEE Eligibility 1. You should pass 12th with PCM. 2. Diploma of 3-4 years is also accepted. 3. There is no marks criteria. 4. You should not be older than 25 years. 5. SC/ST can apply up to 30 years. 6. You get 3 consecutive attempts. 7. To appear for JEE Advanced, you must finish inside top 150,000 of JEE Mains. |
