There are seven IITs viz IIT delhi, Mumbai, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Guwahati, Roorkee, Madras.

Admission Procedure to IITs:
Admission is through IITJEE conducted in April , admission forms are available in months of November and December.
Eligibility
You should have atleast 60% in 12th with PCM.
Number of attempts are two.

After IITs are NITs

Admission Procedure to NITs:
Admission in NITs is through AIEEE.
Eligibility is same for IITs.
But there is one more rule in this, if a NIT belong to a particular state, then students of that state get 50% reservation.
Admission forms are available in december.

Then we have DCE , NSIT in Delhi, even these are good institutes but they have 80% reservation for Delhi students.

These were the govt institutes,
In private institutes, there is BITS, VIT.

Admission in BITS is through BITSAT and in VIT is through VITEEE.
Application forms are available in January and March.
Eligibility criteria for BITS: You should have 80% in PCM
For VIT, 60% is enough.
