Sir, I have completed my Diploma (MINING) in 2016. Then after that I completed my B.Tech (CSE) in 2019. Now my question is can I write GATE 2020 in MINING branch? Or, should I opt for CSE branch only? Which has much better scope and career growth opportunities?

Personally it is based on your interest. Then I would like to suggest you to go for computer science stream.
Computer engineers are in demand now a days and there are so many companies in India where you can apply for various job profiles.

As per my suggestion, you should go for the M.Tech in Computer Science Engineering course rather than Mining. The best job opportunity for you after completing this course is given below.
