Can BCA or BCS graduate apply for TGC entry in Indian army?

Eligibility criteria

The candidate must be citizen of India or subject of Nepal.

Candidates are expected to have an engineering degree or must be presently in the final year of an engineering degree .

Must be between 20 to 27 years.
Physical fitness is also very important, thus while applying they need to have their height 157.5 cm.

Thus engineering degree is must , otherwise one is not eligible to apply .

By the way, I passed out BCA, if I wanted, I could have joined the army.

As per TGC Indian Army Eligibility Criteria, candidates who have passed the requisite engineering degree course or are in final year of engineering degree course are eligible to apply.

The age limit of the applicants is fixed from 20 years to 27 years. The official notification informs that the candidates born between 2nd January, 1996 and 1st January, 2003, are eligible to apply for the Technical Graduate Course 136.

Eligibility criteria required to apply for TGC Entry in Indian Army:

The basic minimum eligibility criteria required to apply for TG Entry in Indian Army is given below,

@ As far as my best knowledge is concerned, candidates with BCA or BCS course may not be eligible to apply for this Indian Army TGC course.

@ Candidiates must have completed Engineering course from a recognized institute or university to be eligible. Those who are pursuing final year of B.Tech or B.E are also eligible.

@ The minimum age required is 20 years and maximum age should not exceed 27 years. Age criteria is considered as on 1st July 2023. I.e., candidiates must have been born between 2nd July 1996 and 1st July 2003 to be eligible.
