Candidates need to pass HSC in order to join Indian Army. If you have completed 12th before diploma, you can apply. Moreover, you must be unmarried male candidate. Your age must fall between 16 ½ and 19 years. Selection is made through NDA entrance exam organized by UPSC.

After passing class 12th you can apply for the NDA exams to join Indian army at the Officer Level

Eligibity to apply for the NDA exams is:


Educational Qualifications:
Army Wing-12th Pass in any stream
Navy & Airforce Wing- 12th Pass with Subject Physics and Maths as subjects.

AGE-
Minimum age 16.5 years
Maximum age- 19 years

Only Unmarried Male candidates can apply


Other option to Join Indian army at the post of Soldier is:

Soldier (General Duty -All Arms)
10th Class pass with minimum 45% marks in aggregate and 32% in each subject studied in class 10th
Or 12th Class passed
Age- 17 ½ - 21 Yrs

I am heartly sorry to say that diploma holder are not eligible to join Indian Army.

But If you have passed 12th or you can join after passing graduation with any stream. you have to qualify the entrance exam.

Yes ofcourse you can join IAF or some in Indian army after diplomo Some people will join after their Intermediate. then you also are perfect eligible to that. you just see the notification. 60% aggregate is important.

NDA is conducted in the Three wings:-

1. Army Wing
2. Navy Wing

>> Another way for joining the Indian Army is first of all you have to take admission in any Graduation course and have to complete it. then you have to apply for the CDS Examination.....

>> CDS examination which also recruit the Candidate for the Various Defense wings and stands for the Combined Defense Service. CDS recruit candidate on the base of Graduation course.....

>> For applying the CDS a candidate must have completed at least their Bachelor degree in any discipline from the Recognized Universities....

>> Age of candidate should be between 20 to 25 years. Relaxation for the Reserved category as per Government rule.....
