Can girl able to appear in a CDS exam.? I am interested to join it. If yes then can u tell me the procedure for it

Yes girls are eligible but only for Officers Training Academy.

The eligibility is as follows:

-Unmarried women.

-Born not earlier than 2nd January, 1987 and not later than 1st January, 1993

-Degree from a recognized university.

Yes, girls can apply for CDS Exam, but they are eligible to join officer's training academy only. They are then alloted SSC(Short Service Commission) in non-technical cadre.
Age limit- 21 to 24 yrs
Educational Qualification- Bachelor's Degree in any field.

The last date of CDS-II 2011 Exam is still due. You can apply for the sam before 6June 2011

Yes you can take CDS EXAM but you will be eligibile for only Officers’ Training Academy

For Officers’ Training Academy – (SSC Women Non-Technical Course) :

You must have born not earlier than 2nd January, 1987 and not later than 1st January,
1993
You must be graduate .

Yes You are Eligible for CDS Exam.There is a different Exams,But You will be Eligible for Only Officers Training Academy.

For Officer Training Academy : Unmarried women,Issue less widow who not Remarried are Eligible and You must have born not earlier than 2nd July,1987 and not later than 1st July,1993.

• The candidate should have a graduate degree from a Recognized University.

Last date for receipt of Application : 06.06.11

Hello,

The exam conducted for women for entry into OTA is CDSE(Combined Defence Services Exam) conducted by UPSC.
Women are given short service commission in OTA.
For CDS...
minimum educational qualification- Graduation
age limit- 19 to 25 yrs

In 2012, Notification for CDS Exam will come around, 25 Sept 2011 and the test will be conducted in second week of Feb.
Well, graduate girls can apply for CDSE but will not be alloted technical branch. They will be given executive cadre.

For technical branch you will have to apply separately for different defence services. You will be alloted Sort Service Commission in the forces

Yes girls are eligible to apply for the combined defence service examination.
Girls can apply for the Indian Air force, Army and Navy by this examination.
This exam is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. Candidate can get the
application form for the CDS exam from the official web site of UPSC which
is www.upsc.gov.in
To apply for this examination you need the following eligibility criteria.

Education Qualification
Candidate should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university.
For the Indian Air force and Navy a candidate should have physics and Maths
at 10+2.
Those appeared in the 10+2 examination are also eligible to apply for this
examination.

Age Limit
For the CDS examination candidate age should be between
For IMA: 19-24 years
For Naval Academy: 19-22 years
For Air Force Academy: 19-23 years
For Officers Training Academy: 19-25 years

you will be eligible to apply for I.M.A. or the Officers’ Training Academy. Also only Male candidates are allowed to apply. For joining the IMA it is a must to have completed atleast 19 years of age. Also there is a maximum limit of 24 years for appearing for the exam. For the Officers Training Academy the maximum limit is 25 years and minimum is 19 years. Also there is a condition that only unmarried candidates can apply and also during the training period the candidates are not allowed to marry. While registering it is a must to enter the same date as mentioned in the matriculation.

Yes girls can join IAF. The minimum qualification is graduation in any stream .

The only entry for women in Indian Air force is through short service commission.There is no permanent commission for girls in Indian Air force.

Technical Entry For girls.

Eligibility:

Age
18 to 28 years

Gender
Applicable to both men and women.


Educational Qualification
BE/B.tech with at least 60% and no back.
Final year student also apply for this.

Eligibility criteria:- Both indian unmarried male and female candidates are
eligible to apply for short service commission in the flying branch.

Age:- 19 to 23 years

Educational Qualifications:- Graduate in any discipline from a recognised
university who have attained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers. And have Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level OR BE / B Tech from a recognised university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers. Final Year students can also apply.

Upper age limit for Candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (india ) is relaxed upto 25 yeras

Yes girl candidates are eligible for Combined Defence Services (CDS) examination (ll).

Combined Defence Services Examination (ll) is conducted by Union Public Service Commission which is going to be held on 18 september 2011.

Through this exam the eligible candidates can get admitted for the following courses...

1.Indian Military Academy , Dehradun

2.Indian Naval Academy , Ezhimala

3.Air Force Academy , Hyderabad

4.Officers Training Academy , cennai (ssc for men)

5.Officers Training Academy , chennai (ssc for women)

The above four courses are offered only for men and the last one is only for women.

To appear in the CDS examination you should have Degree of a recognized university or equivalent.

The last date for receipt of form is 06 June 2011.
