if i appear nda exam after graduation?
i wanna appear for nda exam.

NDA Exam is going to be conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year.

One can join to
-Army wing
-Navy wing
-Air Force wing by cracking this NDA Exam.

The minimum academic qualification with which a candidate can appear for NDA Exam is by finishing 10+2 with any of the stream.

But in order to join Navy and Air Force, one must have Physics and Mathematics as the subjects in 10+2.

You can appear for NDA Exam if you fall under the required age criteria. In order to be eligible for NDA Exam, one should be in the age group of 16 1/2 years to 19 years.

To the best of my knowledge, I think you are avove 19 years as you have completed your Graduation. If you are below 19 years, then you are eligible.

Candidate should complete the 12th with science (physics,chemistry,math ) from any recognized board .
2. 6/6 vision is required.
3.Age limit = 16.5 to 19 years.

If you can satisfy all of the above you are eligible.

NDA-I exam notification for this year:
Issue of application form from 31st Dec 2011 to 30th Jan 2012.
Exam will held on 15th April 2012.

NDA-II exam notification for this year:
Issue of application form from 5th May 2012 to 4th June 2012.
Exam will held on 19th Aug 2012.

You are allowed for NDA from educational qualification but you do n't mentation your Age which is a great factor in NDA.

Minimum educational qualification for NDA Exam is 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as the subjects in 10+2.

But there required age criteria which should be from 16.5 years to 19 years.

No! friend, as the age limit of NDA exam is very narrow , the ag limit for this exam is 16.5-19, also there is no any kind of age relaxations are given to SC\ST candidates.

for appear in this exam you must have to complete your 12th from a recognized board.

for apply in air & naval wings you must have subjects maths & physics ,passed with 60%.

Dear friend, qualification required for NDA is 12th with PCM not Graduation.age most important age between 16.5 to 19 year.if you have age between this you can apply after Graduation.
and if you over 19 you can appear another defense exam CDSE on the basis of Graduation . and age criteria for 19 to 25.so you carry on with your intrest in defense.
both exam conduct by UPSE.

The NDA exam is opted by candidates who have qualified +2 level of examination. After qualifying the NDA exam, candidates are sent to the academy to complete their bachelors degree and other necessary training. The Bachelors degree program offered by the NDA is approved by the Jawaharlal Nehru University.
Since you are a graduate, you must apply for the Combined Defense Service examination, which is also conducted by the union public service commission.
Candidates who qualifies this exam are sent to the desired training academies of the major defense forces of India.
Indian Military Academy - IMA
Air Force Academy
Naval Academy
Officers Training Academy - OTA

The minimum eligible age to apply for the exam is 19 years and the maximum age limit varies as per the defense force:
IMA- 24 years
Air Force Academy- 23 years
Naval Academy- 22 years
OTA- 25 years

You can apply for NDA after graduation, but you have to fulfill the NDA Exam criteria.
NDA stands for National Defence Academy.
NDA Exam is conducted by UPSC twice a year.

>>The candidate must complete his 12th class from recognized board.

>>The age of candidate must be between 16.5 to 19 years.

>>The candidate must be unmarried male.

>>The candidate must be Indian.

If you fulfill these above criteria only then you will be eligible for applying for NDA.

But after graduation, I advice you to apply for CDS Exam.
CDS stands for Combined Defence Services.
CDS Exam is conducted by UPSC twice a year.

>>The candidate must complete his/her graduation degree from any recognized university.
>>The age limit of the candidate must be from 19 to 24 years for Indian Army, 19 to 23 for Indian Air Force and 19 to 22 years for Indian Navy.

No! your not eligible even though you may completed your 12th with PCM and 60% marks.

If your Graduated now, your Age must be above 19 years and for NDA examination one must be:

16 1/2 to 19 years of age.

After Graduation you should go for CDS / AFCAT or Other notification of defence being published in newspapers and online which offer both Permanent commission and Short Service Commission.


CDS- Combined Defence Service is a very common exam after graduation which need a elementary Maths, English & general Knowledge .

AFCAT is for AIR FORCE.

If your not from Technical background

You can only apply for Ground duty or Flying Branch in AFCAT.

Technical is only for B tech Students.

Maximum age to apply for the NDA exams is 19 years

But now you can appear in the CDS exams if you want to apply for the Indian airforce after passing your BTECH

Below is the Eligibilty:
Education:Graduation Pass with Physics and Mathematics as subjects in class 12th or BE/BTECH

Age Between 19- 23 years

You can also appear in the AFCAT exams conducted by Indian Airforce
You can apply for the Flying Branch

The eligible candidate must be an Indian unmarried Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental health.

So NDA is only meant for 12th candidate and a Graduate Male candidate can apply for NDA if he fulfills the above mentioned eligibility criteria for NDA, but he can apply for CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam after Graduation.

10+2 passed with age between 16.5 to 19 years are eligible for NDA Examination.

There is no need of Graduation for NDA Examination. If you have completed Graduation and your age is between 16.5 to 19 years then also you can apply for NDA Examination.

But if your age is not according to NDA notification after Graduation then there is no chance of applying for NDA.

After Graduation you can also apply for CDS Examination if your age is between 19 to 25 years.

To become an Officer in Indian Defence you have to undergo examination which will have some obstacles in the form of :

-Written Exam

-SSB

-Medical Examination

If you pass the examination with merit then there is very good chance for you to become an officer .

Yes you can apply for the NDA exam after completing the Graduation.

But you can better apply for the CDS exam after completing Graduation.

NDA exam needs only 12th standard.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible. Female candidates are not eligible for this exam. But candidates should be citizen of India.

Before I answer your question I would have to give you a brief intro about what NDA is and what are the pre-requisites which are there to be fulfilled by the candidates who wish to apply for this esteem examination.

NDA - National Defense Academy..

This is an Entrance conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year in the months of April and August. It is basically conducted to take intake for the three wings of Defense which are Army, Navy and Air Force. So for each of them they have a different and a PARTICULAR requirement.

Basic Eligibility Criteria for the NDA Examination is that you should be an unmarried Male candidates as females are not allowed to appear for this exam. Your age should be within 16.5 to 19 years. You should be atleast 12th pass/appeared and should be physically and mentally fit.

Also if we talk about the Educational Qualification which is needed, ONLY SCIENCE students can apply for the 3 wings of Defense, whereas the Commerce and Arts can only apply for the Army. This is also a clause which is often ignored at times by the applicants during applying and they get rejected for this reason.

So now as your query, You are in your final year of graduation which means you are over 20 years of age. However if you read in the eligibility conditions, ONLY candidates in 16.5 to 19 years age range can apply. So I am really sorry to say that you CANNOT apply for NDA 1 nor NDA 2..

You can though apply for the CDS - Combined Defense Services and its really for those who are graduates or in their final years. Click Here to know more about it..

Eligibility for NDA :
educational : class 12th passed from a recognized board.

Age limit : 16,5 to 19 years.

So you are not allowed to appear.

You have another option to join Defense Accademy.
You can join defense accademy through qualifying in CDS examination.

CDS exam is conducted by UPSC every year two times.

Only graduates can apply for CDs exam.

Both male and female are eligible to apply for CDS examination.

Your age is between 19 to 25 years.

Any stream of graduates can apply for this course.
