Can I apply for CSIR with last year's OBC certificate?
Can I apply for CSIR - 2018 with OBC certificate of last year (2017) as I belong to OBC category? Is it possible or should I apply for new OBC certificate for CSIR exam?

Yes, your certificate is valid for applying CSIR exam.
The validity of the OBC certificate is 3 preceding financial years. Since you have applied your certificate in the last year, it will be valid up to April 2020 and you are eligible for applying CSIR or any entrance exam or you can even apply for government jobs by providing OBC certificate. There is no need to apply for OBC certificate again. You can provide the previous years OBC certificate. |

Validity of the OBC certificate is for 3 years from the date printed on the certificate. No need to apply again for the same as it holds good for the following 2 years. Your present OBC certificate is valid for CSIR exam.
