I am a 3rd year ECE student ...can i apply for IBPS clerk exam or PO exam ?and when can i apply for it?on june 2013 or dec 2013 ?could you please help me?when will be the right time for me to apply??

One can apply for IBPS exam, only after completing graduation. Graduation is basic qualification insisted for Clerk/P.O position. If you apply for the exam now, you can’t submit required documents at the time of interview. So you will be rejected automatically. You can apply immediately after completion of the course.

Eligibilty for the BANK CLERKS exams conducted by IBPS is:
Graduation Pass
Final year pass graduation student cannot apply.
Age should be between 20 and 28 years
OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations


Eligibilty for the BANK PO exams:
Graduation Pass.
Final year students cannot apply
Age should be between 21 and 30 years
OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations


So, once you complete your Graduation, than only you can apply for the bank PO and Clerks exams

i am 2 backs in btech 4 sem i already gave my exam,waiting for result,may be come till oct 1 week.i have completed my btech can i sit in this exam

IBPS stand for the Institute of Banking Personnel Selections. IBPS examination is conducted for the recruitment in the different public sectors banks. To appear in IBPS you need following criteria :

Only those candidate have completed graduation degree with above 60% marks are eligible for IBPS PO exam.There are no percentage criteria for IBPS PO exam.

You are from 3rd year student so you are not applicable for IBPS PO exam .Even final candidate are also not applicable for IBPS PO exam .Only completed graduate candidate can apply here .

So after completion B-Tech degree you can apply .

The candidate age must be in between 20 to 28 years.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.

You are not eligible for the test now.

IBPS / PO clerk eligibilities are:-

Age limit :-

IBPS - 20-28 years
Bank PO - 21-30 years.

Relaxation of age for :-
OBC -3 years.
SC/ST -5 years.

Dear friend,

As you are 3rd year ECE student, so you must wait for 1 year to apply for IBPS Exam.

As B.Tech Course is for 4 years, so you can appear in IBPS Exam only if you are in Final year of your Graduation.

AGE LIMIT:

For Clerk: 20 to 28 years.

For PO: 20 to 30 years.

3 years relaxation is given to OBC Candidates while 5 years relaxation is given to SC/ST Candidates.

Iam sorry to say this you are not eligible for IBPS(Institute of Banking Personal Selection) Probationary Officer exam, because only who are completed their graduation are eligible for IBPS PO exam.

You must be a citizen of India.

1) You should be within the age limit of 18 years to 28 years..

2) There is 3 years age relaxation for the OBC candidates and 5 years for the SC/ST candidates..

3) You will have to at least be a graduate (no restriction on percentage) from a recognized college..

Eligibility For IBPS PO Exam

1) The age limit for PO Exam is 20-28 years and the above age relaxation is applicable here also..

2) Minimum educational qualification should that be of a graduate but with an aggregate of 60% (55% for SC/ST candidates)

The IBPS Bank Exam is conducted every year for 20 nationalized banks in India..

You have to be at least in your final year of graduation to be able to appear for this entrance exam..

IBPS stands for Indian Institute of Banking Personal Selection and it conducts the CWE exam or Common Written Examination for various posts and probationary officer just happens to be one of them. By giving this exam you can get a chance of working as a PO in any one of the 20 public sector banks that participates in this exam.

The revised eligibility criteria of the IBPS PO Exam suggests that from now onwards the burden of securing 60% of marks at graduation level wont be looming large on the interested candidates anymore and now only a degree in any discipline of your choice is more than enough.

In addition to that the computer literacy criteria which earlier was mandatory for this post is not mandatory anymore. This is not a compulsory requirement much to the relief of the students.

The age limit for this exam remains the same which is 20-30. The mentioned upper age limit is for the general category candidates. For the OBC candidates it is 30+3, for SC/ST candidates it is 30+5 and for PWD candidates it is 30+10.

Now your question was whether you can apply for this year's PO exam or not. I am very sorry to say but the answer is no since for this exam only the degree holder can apply. Currently you are in the third year and you are yet to complete your graduation. Thus so finish the course first and take preparations side by side.

Total marks for the exam is 200 which has been equally divided into five subjects:- English language, quantitative aptitude, general awareness and Computer Knowledge. The minimum cut off marks will be 24 (Gen. Category) and 21 (for reserved category).

The total marks for interview are 100. The marks should not be less than 40% to qualify the interview. 80% weightage is given to the written exam and 20% weightage is given to the interview session.

It is good that you are trying to IBPS PO Exam from the time you are pursuing your B.Tech in ECE itself.

This is a good move from you but unfortunately you are not eligible to give this exam in your 3rd year.

But I am sure that you can give IBPS PO Exam in your final year of ECE course but the thing is that you should be able to provide the proof of passing in Graduation by the time you appear for Interview.

There is negative marking in the written exam for the wrong answer questions.

Make sure that you are going to score 60% of marks in your ECE course. Then only you can apply for IBPS PO Exam.

The nationality of the candidate should be India to apply for this Exam.

There is huge competition among the candidates who are applying for this exam.

Hence you preparation should in high level to get through written exam.
