Can I become a Drugs Inspector after completing MSc(Biotechnology)?
Sir, I am doing MSc in Biotechnology. I would like to know that can I become a Drugs Inspector after completion of my Post Graduation? I want to get this job and I am aiming for it. Kindly let me know asap.

Aspirants must be graduates from B.pharma or medicine with specialization in clinical Pharmacology/ Microbiology or M-Pharm.
One must pass their class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as compulsory subjects. Additional 18 months experience in manufacturing or testing of Schedule C or C1 drugs is also asked in UPSC (Optional not mandatory) ***Candidates are advised to apply for pharmacy entrance tests which are conducted by various state governments and separate privates institutes(UPSC and various SPSCs when there are vacancies.) |

To become a drug inspector a candidate needs to have completed his graduation in pharmacy or pharmaceutical science or clinical pharmacology or microbiology or medicine or any other equivalent qualification with these specialisations from a recognised university or institution.
candidates having Priya experience of a similar working at any medicine production company are given preference in this selection process. |

Yes, you can become Drug Inspector after completing post graduation in M.Sc. Biotechnology.
Note that minimum requirement for become Drug Inspector is graduation in pharmacy/microbiology/medicine from a recognized University. Since, you have completed post graduation in M.Sc. Biotechnology, so it will be a plus point in becoming Drug Inspector. UPSC as well as state PSCs conduct entrance exam for Drug Inspector posts. Firstly, there will be written test followed by Physicial Fitness round. Lastly, there will be viva-voce round. |

Only those aspirants, who have got degree in microbiology from a recognised University or pharmacy of Pharmaceutical science or medicine with specialisation in clinical Pharmacology can apply for drug inspector.
As you have done MSc in biotechnology you are eligible for this. But there are age limit also a candidate should have minimum age of 18 years and maximum age of 36 years to apply for these posts. |

Eligibility for drugs inspector:
* Candidates need to complete graduation in pharmacy or pharmaceutical science or clinical pharmacology or microbiology or medicine or any other equivalent qualifications with these specialization from a recognised university or Institute. * Age should be in between 21 and 30 years. Selection is done on the basis of performance in academic record, written exam and personal interview. |
