I am interested in joining Indian Air Force IAF as a Ground Duty Officer. So, can I join Ground Duty through NDA? Or, is there any other way to join IAF? How much would be the average pay scale for Ground Duty Officer's post?

The recruitment to three different branches of Indian Air Force is given through Air Force Common Admission Test.

1. Flying branch.

2. Technical branch.

3. Ground Duty branch.

For ground duty branch, bachelor's degree in any stream is required with minimum of 60% marks.

The age criteria is 20-26 years.

You have to clear Written test and Air Force Service Selection Board.

The UPSC selects guys into the IAS through the NDA entry only for the flying branch. However, some of them would get suspended for failure to learn flying and such guys could be absorbed into the ground duty branches after appropriated training in the Academy.
