Yes, you can become a Indian air force Flying pilot after completing your Graduation B.Tech in Mechanical . But you can't become a commercial pilot, you are not eligible for it. There is Another Examination you have to give other than CDSE exam to become a flying officer . Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) is aimed at assessing a candidate’s aptitude to be trained as a pilot. PABT is an independent selection to induct potential officers into Flying Branch of Indian Air Force. PABT consists of three tests Instrument Battery Test (INSB) is a paper pencil test Sensory Motor Apparatus Test (SMA) Control Velocity Test (CVT) |

Hi,
you can join Indian air-force flying branch by giving CDS exam.this exam is conducted by UPSC once a year. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CDS EXAM:- 1. you must have a bachelor's degree from a recognised university. 2.final year candidates can also appear. 3.for airforce wing your age must be between 19 to 23 years. Yes you can apply for Indian Air Force pilot after completion of B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
You can become Indian Air Force Pilot after B.Tech through following examinations: -CDS Examination which is organised by UPSC (Age should between 19 to 23 years for Indian Air Force Academy) -AFCAT Flying Branch (Age required is 19 to 23 years for Flying Branch). So if you want to become a Pilot then start preparing for above examination. The selection in above examinations will be based on the following stages: -Written Exam -SSB Interview -Medical Examination There will be Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT)which one has to qualify in order to get the Pilot position in Indian Air Force. You have to appear in the UPSC conducted CDS exams Eligibilty to apply for the CDS exams: Education: Indian Military Academy (IMA) - Graduation Pass in any Stream Officers Training Academy (OTA) - Graduation Pass in any Stream Indian Airforce- Graduation Pass with Physics and Mathematics as subjects in class 12th or BE/BTECH Indian Navy - BE/BTECH AGE LIMITS- IMA- Between 19- 24 years OTA Between 19- 25 years NAVY - Between 19- 22 years AIR FORCE - Between 19- 23 years Physical requirements for Airforce Minimum Height- 162.5 cms Minimum Leg Length - 99 cms Maximum Leg Length - 120 cms Thigh Length- Max 64 cms Sitting Height -Min 81.5 cms and Max 96 cms |
