Hello, I am a girl right now in class 11. I want to be a pilot of the Indian Air Force, but not after +2, I first want to complete my Engineering bachelors course and then join IAF. Is this possible for me to be a pilot after that? If yes, then may I know the procedures?

Yes of course , you can be a pilot after completing your engineering. Indian Air force provides a lot of scope for girls to join them.You can join their various branches. For joining the IAF flying branch, u can go in for the Short service Commission scheme, were you can be an IAF officer for 14years only. But most importantly you should be medically fit. Being an officer in the Indian Air Force is really prestigious.

you just try to give AFCAT EXAM(air force common admission test),after the completion of your b.e graduation...

but short service commission is only possible..

You can apply for a pilot in India even after finishing your B.tech.
Your specific degree should not matter as mush as your performance in your work duties to get the job done, and training assignments. I’d think if you majored or are proficient in another language too, that could help in your activities. All the very best to your future my dear friend.

1.physical fitness.
2. join flying schools.
but this course is expensive. it is about 20 to 30 lakhs.

For technical entry, both Male/Female candidates should be between 18-28 Years and have acquired four year degree qualification from a recognized University.
Generally, one can be a part of any of the three branches of the Airforce after completing your graduation, Flying Branch, Technical Branch and Ground Duties Branch. Air Force Common Admission Test or AFCAT is by far the biggest exam conducted for entry into the IAF. Candidates after appearing for the written test has to undergo (AFSB)SSB . The written test is same for all the candidates irrespective of the Branch Applied i.e. Flying, Technical or Ground Duties.
