Can i do ips after completing my bca degree on distance education?

I want to do BCA from IGNOU in distance course and I just want to know after complete can i apply for IPS and IAS Esams ?

dear sir i have done BCA degree in distance education from Sambalpur University, So i can apply for civil service exam (Such as:-IAS, IPS... etc)?

Graduation degree with minimum percentage marks from any discipline.Final year candidate can also applicable for IPS Exam.Not required any kind of percentage marks in graduation degree .

You have completed BCA degree in distance mode education so you are applicable for Civil Service exam but your degree must be recognized .

Age limit for IPS exam:-

Candidates age should between 21 years to 30 years for general candidates

5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates
3 years relaxation for OBC Candidates
10 years relaxation for PHC candidates
5 years relaxation for Ex-serviceman

Attempt for IPS Exam:-

General Candidate can maximum 4 Times
OBC Candidate can Maximum 7 Times
SC/ST there is no attempt Limit

The eligibility criteria required for the IPS examination are prescribed as below:-

* Completion of graduation in any track from any accredited college or university.

* Final year contenders are also eligible.

* No. of attempts:- 4 for General, 7 for OBC and no limits for SC/ST contenders.

B.C.A is a graduation course.
After graduation you can apply for Civil Services exam.

CIVIL SERVICES

Civil Services exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

Civil Services exam is conducted for many post like:-

Age should be in between 21-30 year.

There are three stage of selection:-

Yes, you are eligible for IPS with your distance BCA

but, first you can crack the Civil Examination which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission

India holds a UPSC examination every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IPS officers are recruitment.

Eligibility Criteria :-

A.)Educational Qualification:-

The minimum qualification required for appearing the competitive examination is Graduation. Many professionals like Engineers, Doctors, persons with Ph.d qualifications are competing for UPSC.


B.)Age Factor:-

1.> For general category :-

21-30 years and can attempt 4 times.

2.>For SC/ST :-

21-35 years ,and there is no limitation .

3.> For the OBC:-

21-33 years and can attempt 7 times.


Paper Pattern for IPS exam :-

1) General-Studies paper carries 150 marks

2) Optional paper carries 150 marks.

Instead of one compulsory paper of General Studies and one Optional paper, both the papers shall be compulsory.

IPS stands for Indian Police Service and to be an IPS officer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam, conducted by UPSC once every year after Graduation in any stream and there is no such specification criteria to be a Graduate through regular course, so a BCA Graduate through distance education is eligible to apply for the same.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian national having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical Fitness.

Apart from this the aspiring candidate for IPS should have possessed minimum Physical requirement such as:-

HEIGHT - General/OBC Male-165cm and Female-150cm while SC/ST Male-160cm and Female-145cm.

CHEST - Male-84cm while Female-79cm expandable to 5cm in both the cases.

yes, you can do the IPS after completing BCA degree with distance education , because UPSC civil services required qualification is any Degree (both regular / distance) from any recognized university with minimum 55 % percentage for general candidates.

IPS exam required candidate to be a graduate and hold a degree, whether it isfrom a regular mode or a correspondence mode.

Since you are doing a degree course, you will be eligible for IPS exam.

IPS - Indian police Services

UPSC conducts this exam .

Only an Indian citizen canapply for this exam.

Candidate should be a graduate from a recognised university

The candidate's age should be between 21 years to 30 years, if a general category.

Upper age limit for OBC category is relaxed by 3 years and for SC/ ST category it is relaxed by 5 years.


The exam of IPS isconducted in three successive stages -

1= Preliminary exam

2= Main exam

3= Interview.

A candidate mustbe physically and mentally fit for this post.

Of course you can appear for Civil Services Examination for Indian Police Service. To be eligible you need to have graduation degree and Bachelor of Computer Application is accepted as the required graduation degree.

At the same time to address your second concerned, it does not really matter if you have completed graduation through distance education. Union Public Service Commission also accepts candidates with distance education degree.

Therefore without any problem apply for the Indian Police Service entrance exam which is commonly known as Civil Services Examination.

Unfortunately you can not apply this year. You will have to wait till next year to be able to apply for the Civil Services Examination.


Eligibility

1. Nationality: Only Indians will be selected.

2. Degree: Any graduation degree is accepted.

3. Marks: No minimum requirement.

4. Lower Age: You should at least be 21 years to appear for exam.

5. Upper Age: Anyone above 30 years will not be allowed.

6. Relaxation: 3 years in upper age limit for OBC.

7. Relaxation: 5 years for the SC and ST.


Selection Procedure

1. Preliminary Exam: 2 written tests that will be conducted in May/June.

2. Main Exam: Must clear preliminary to appear for this. There are 9 written tests.

3. Interview: Last step is personal interview.

Minimum qualification required to appear for IPS exams is Graduation from a recognized university.So after completing your BCA degree with distance education you are eligible for this exam but its must be from a recognized University.

AGE limit:-
Age must be between 21 to 33 years for General category.
Age must be 21 to 35 for OBC category.
Age must be 21 to 35 for SC/ST category

Number of Attempts:
Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. If a person appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt.
