For getting admission in diploma course you must have to qualify all the subjects in your current exams (10th or 12th) from any well affiliated board. You are not eligible for admission in diploma on the basis of your 12th marks as you are failed in one subject in 12th class. But you are eligible for admission in diploma course on the basis of your matriculation. You simply have to appear in the DET exam for admission in any good college. Your course duration will be of three years.

Admission to the polytechnic college is given on the basis of marks obtained in class 10th. So you are eligible to get admission in polytechnic college on the basis of your 10th standard. You have to qualify the entrance exam conducted by the polytechnic college or the university where you want to take admission. Admission is given on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test and rank in the merit list.
