sir i'm 12th passed guy from commerce side can i get admission in civil engineering

Well, after commerce you cant join an any engineering side since for engineering you require to have Physics, Chemistry and Maths as your main subjects. Since commerce doesnt allow such subjects its not possible for you to go in engineering field

But still there is a way for it... What you can do is after completing your 12th in commerce you can join Polytechnic on the basis of your 10th marks and opt for Civil Engineering diploma course. After completing your diploma from there you can later opt for lateral entry in B.E/B.Tech degree 2nd year..

But that will be a long route..If you are seriously not interested in Commerce field then make the shift other wise you can continue in commerce field which has immense scope

since you are a student of commerce,you can not opt for enginnering. To join Engineering one must pass his intermediate with science,where he/she has MATHS as one of his main subject.

No after passing 12th from commerce you can not get admission to civil engineering even not in any engineering.Because engineering is only for students who are from Science background.
Two other options are there for you to be a Civil Engineer.

1>One other way is there,that is there are provision that students can take admission to 2nd year of engineering after completing their diploma.So you can do that with your 10th degree by joining polytechnic.

2>You can do MBA from commerce line and become the manager of Civil Engineers.

1.you do 12th with scienc(maths)

But still there is a way for it... What you can do is after completing your 12th in commerce you can go for diploma on the basis of your 10th marks and choose option Civil Engineering. After completing your three year diploma you can take direct second year admission for B.E/B.Tech degree.But for that you have to score minimum 60% in diploma.

No. you can't get admission in Civil Engineering after passing 12th from Commerce stream.

only science 12th pass candidate are allow to do the Civil Engineering courses.

the other criteria which is required to do the Civil Engineering is

1.12th pass with PCM subject combination.

2.Minimum 50% marks in 12th for general candidate.

After commerce stream , you cant take admission in B-TECH degree.

Because only science department are eligible for B-TECH admission.

If you want to do B-TECH degree then you have a way. You can try for diploma in any college .After that you have chance for B-TECH with lateral entry.

So you must join in any three years diploma courses.

no you can't get admission after 12th directly but if you want to join then you should go for polytechnic from civil then only you can get admission in civil engineering in second year.

No It's Possible .. Commerce stream candidates are not applicable for Engineering course ...

So, After Completing 12th standard in Commerce stream ,,your not eligible to apply for Civil Engineering Course ...

Only the applicant who Completed in Science stream with Physics , Mathematics and Chemistry are eligible for Civil Service Engineering Course ..

So, As per the eligibility Criteria your not eligible for Civil Engineering course ..

If you want to Develop your career growth then,, I suggest you to apply for Bachelor degree course in Commerce stream like,

-B.com (Bachelor of Commerce)

I am afraid but this isn't possible. Commerce students are not eligible for any engineering course including Civil Engineering. To apply for the engineering course, the candidate is required to complete the 12th standard with subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

Physics and Chemistry are not part of the commerce stream which makes commerce student ineligible for the Civil Engineering course. You will not be able to appear for any engineering entrance exams such as:

AIEEE

IIT-JEE

BITSAT

ISEET

UPSEE

MHA-CET

May I suggest that you consider some other career option. You can complete graduation and follow it with MBA in Finance or any other stream of your choice. Finance in particular will suit the commerce student and there are various fields where you can apply for the job such as Stock Broking, Banking, Bonds etc.

If you want then computer related course is also good option for you. After completing graduation you can apply for Master of Computer Application. However it will require you to have Maths as a subject in 12th or graduation.

Chartered Accountancy is also good option. You will have to appear for Common Proficiency Test which can be given after completing 12th. If you cleared this entrance exam then you will get admission in the second stage of Chartered Accountancy which is known as IPCC.

If you have 45 percent marks in 12th standard then BA LLB, the 5 years long graduation plus LLB course is also good option. You will have to first appear for the Common Law Admission Test.

No you are not eligible to get admission to any B.Tech. courses after 12th Commerce.

The eligible candidate aspiring for admission to B.Tech. in any stream must be an Indian Citizen having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass from Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 50% marks from a recognised Board above the age of 17 years, is eligible to apply for entrance exam conducted for admission to various under Graduate B.Tech. courses.

Ya you can.With the interest of civil engineering after 12th (commerce) you dont have any touch in techincal subjects.So you need to go for coaching of mpc subjects with entrace exam for engineering and there is other way.............................
There is a chance to do a polytecnic with the help of 10 th marks......entrance exam will be there for this diploma called (CEEP) common entrace exam for admissions into polytecnic...you can apply for this and after qualifying this exam according to rank choose the civil specialization and you can forward to this...this is a 3 years course..

Sorry to say but you cannot get admission in any of the Engineering streams after completing 12th with Commerce.

This is because the qualifications that you should have to be eligible for engineering courses is you must have passed 12th with Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics as your key subjects in 12th standard.

And The Commerce stream lacks Physics and Chemistry as subjects.

So , its impossible to think about engineering if you are from commerce stream.

It would be better for you to move towards other career options such as :

* Company Secretary

Engineering streams have to need of PCM in class 12th.

So, I would like to advice you that you should go for other sector jobs like:-

No , you are not eligible to apply for the Civil Engineering after passing 12th examination in Commerce Course . To apply for Civil Engineering , you must have a completed intermediate with Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects in your examination .

Physics , Chemistry and mathematics subjects is not part of the Commerce stream candidates so you are ineligible to apply for the Civil Engineering examination . So you have to join your related course like B.Com , B.B.A , B.Com(A&f) , B.B.M , B.com(CS) , B.Com(General) ..etc.

You can also apply for the LLB course after completing the 12th examination . To join the LLB course , you need to crack the CLAT Examination .

You can also apply for the CA , ICWA , CS Examination .

Not at all, you can't get admission in Civil Engineering after passing 12th from Commerce curriculum.

Because, to get admission in Engineering curriculum, you must have finished 12th with PCM as your main subjects.

But, here your curriculum is quite different from PCM.

So, the better option is for you that you concentrate on other competitive exams.

Other competitive exams are below mentioned:-

* MBA .

* Railway Department.

* Banking Sector.

* Staff Selection Commission.

It is not possible to get admission in Civil Engineering after passing 12th with commerce.

To do B.Tech or diploma in Civil Engineering after 12th you must have to study Science after 10th with Subject combination Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics subject.

Then you are eligible for IITJEE or AIEEE examination through with you can get admission in Engineering College with civil engineering.

But do not worry Commerce is a good stream you have various carrier options available.

You can do BBA(Bachelor of Business Administration) then MBA after 12th and join various jobs.

Or you can study Charter Accountant(CA).

You can also do Bachelor's degree in accountancy and get job after that.

I have completed my plus two from commerce stream,but i have done two year diploma in civil engineering from college of military engineering, pune batch 2011-13.Presently i am working as Junior Engineer(Civil).I have following queries:-
1.Can i take admission in BTech Civil based on two year diploma under lateral entry entry scheme
2. Which are the best colleges that offer admission based on two year diploma under lateral entry
3. Should i need to write entrance exam
4. Is there any reservation for serving defence personnels
It will be helpful if u can provide me with this information. I would also like to add that since i am from kerala it will be more helpful if you can help me find colleges in kerala if not in any other state nearby
