Before knowing your answer, you please go through the following stastics.

Around 5000 students are being selected through JEE .
Around 30000 students are being selected through AIEEE.

All the students selected through the above test do not get good college.
UP state has a few good engineering college, to quote HBIT, Kanpur, IET Lucknow. However, in the name of engineering college, there are no. of engineering college in UP, who usually exploit the emotions of guardian by misguiding for the better future of their wards.
In my opinion, it is far beter to have a BTC course rather than having B Tec degree from a very ordinary engineering college.
