does obc ranking is one-fourth of general ranking in aieee? or 1/3 ? also, can i get nit sikkim (any branch) by having 40000 rank in obc category?

which nit can i get at 107700 rank(AIR) and 8000 state rank?

Hello friend..

NIT stands for National Institute of Technology.
They are considered as top engineering colleges of our country after IITs.
The admission in NIT is based on AIEEE rank.
There are almost 25 NITs in our country and many new are under construction.

In NITs,there is a reservation for :-
1.Other Backward Classes.
2.Schedule Class Candidates.
3.Schedule Tribe Candidates.
4.Home State Students.

Some of the top NITs are NIT Warangal.NIT Trichy,NIT Surathkal,etc.
Since NITs are considered very good college,so the cut off rank for NIT goes very high.

If you belong to general Category,you can get an NIT ny scoring at least 30,000 rank.
An OBC candidate can get a seat by securing around 35,000 rank.
And SC/ST candidates can get NIT even by securing rank around 1,25,000.

Since,your rank is 40,819 in AIEEE,you can't get an NIT.
But you can try for other good colleges through AIEEE counselling.
You can directly contact the colleges which doesn't take admission directly through AIEEE counselling.

You will surely get a good private college with this rank.
