I am 8th graded and I am not able to go for school due to health issues. So, can I give my 10th privately next year and study this year of 9th std subjects? After studying all the subjects of 9th and 8th will I be able to go 10th privately without 9th pass?

Registration of candidate/student for Board exams of 10th is nearly done in 9th standard in most of the national and regional Boards.

So, you may not be allowed to appear for 10th Board Exams without passing 9th standard from school.

After passing 9th standard from school with registration in Board, you can apply for 10th standard as a Private candidate. Being a private candidate, you just have to appear for final Board Exams.

But this could be only possible if you complete 9th standard from recognized school.
