Re: Can I give JEE Advanced 2016 if passed 12th from NIOS board 2 years back?
JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination. This exam has two stages namely Main and Advanced. Candidates who wish to appear for this exam must have done 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. There are three consecutive attempts for JEE Main and two consecutive attempts for JEE Advanced exam.
For JEE Advanced exam, one must qualify in JEE Main exam. For JEE 2016 exam, on must have passed 10+2 in 2014, 2015 or appearing for board exam in 2016. You are eligible for JEE Main exam and Advanced in 2016 as you have passed 10+2 exam after 2014 JEE exam. |

JEE Advanced examination can be appeared in the consecutive years after your 12th class and as you are having 2 years of gap you are not eligible for appearing for the JEE advanced 2016 entrance examination
There are certain eligibility criteria which needs to be satisfied in order to appear for the JEE advanced entrance examination such as
These are the main eligibility criteria of JEE advanced entrance examination and as of now you have 2 years of gap after your 12th class and so you can not appear for the JEE entrance examination |

Re: Can I give JEE Advanced 2016 if passed 12th from NIOS board 2 years back?
Sorry to say that you are not eligible for the JEE-2016 entrance exam because you passed 12th std exam not from CBSE board but from NIOS.
Also you are not eligible because of your Passing year. As per JEE-2016 Rules , 1-Candidates, who have passed class 12th/qualifying examination in 2013 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2017 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE Main 2016. 2- Candidates who appeared in class 12th/equivalent qualifying Examinations in 2013, did not pass in 2013, but passed in 2014 are also not eligible to appear in JEE Main 2016. Second criteria is for you only, So do not apply for the JEE-2016 , but you have so many options like UPTU, CUSAT, VTU, WBJEE, IP University and many state level exam. |

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination.
Number of attempt in JEE: Suppose if a candidate appear for 10+2 board exams in 2016 then he/she can apply for JEE Mains in 2016, 2017 and 2018 and for JEE Advanced in 2016 and 2017 only. Since you passed 10+2 in 2014 when JEE exams were over. You are eligible for JEE Mains but not for Advanced stage. |
