Hi, I have completed my B.Com. Am I eligible to join Merchant Navy being from Commerce background? I want to join at Officer rank like Captain post. What should be the minimum qualification for this post in Merchant Navy?

For a graduation student the criteria for the joining are as:

* you should have atleat 50%marks in graduation.

**Candidates have to be unmarried Indian citizen

**Age limit should not be more than 28 years

You can join the merchant Navy in two ways
*deck department
* engine department

Only join those institute which are affiliated by the government of India.

Only the science stream students are eligible for job in merchant navy.
For applying for merchant navy candidate should completing 10+2 system or equivalent, having passed chemistry , mathematics and physics as elective subjects and for graduate candidate graduation should be in BE (marine).
