can i join merchant navy? Now i doing +2 class with physics,chemistry and maths.my date of birth is 17june,1995.

Having done your +2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths, you are undoubtedly, eligible for merchant navy and you will have two options available. Either you may join as an Deck Cadet directly instead of going for higher studies or you may pursue bachelors degree program in nautical science or marine engineering depending upon your interest in a particular field.
If you want to join as an engineer, you have got to be a graduate in marine engineering. After successful completion of the course along with one year pre-sea course, you will be considered eligible for the post of Junior or fifth Engineer in merchant navy.

Hey friend,

You cannot join in Merchant Navy with just completing +2 with PCM as subjects


The courses offered by Merchant navy are:

B.E Marine Engineering:

Duration: 4 years

Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English


B.S.C Nautical Science:

Duration: 3 years

Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English

M.E Marine Engineering:

Duration: 2 years

Eligibility: B.E Marine Engineering.


You need to do the above mentioned courses in order to be eligible for joining in Merchant Navy.

As you are final year student you have good percentage in your Graduation .
there is no need for 12 th Marks
you should have 60 % in your graduation.
there vacancy for technical post is affered you can apply for that , after completing exam you can get Job .
BUt as you are joining Navy service you must fit by health also.
