Can I join ncc in 10th class or before starting 10th?

Yes you can. Since you are in 9th grade, you can join the junior division/wing of NCC. The duration of it is going to be 2 years. So that means you will have to attend parades in your 10th grade as well.

Interested candidates can join NCC after class 10th provided they have scored atleast 65% and above marks in class 10th and it must be from a reputed college.
There are 2 types of post under NCC
Junior wing
Senior wing
Those appearing for junior division must have attained 13 years
For appearing in senior division , their maximum age is 26 years.
For enrollment in junior division , period is 2 years and for Senior division it's 3 years.

Eligibility Condition:-

1 - Citizen of Indian or a subject of Nepal.

2 - Bearing a good moral character.

3 - Enrolled in an educational institutions.

4 - Meets the prescribed medical standards.

5 - Age limit:-
a - Junior Division/Wing (Boys/ Girls ) - 13 years
to 18.5 years.
b - Senior Division/Wing ( Boys/Girls ) - Up to 26 years.
6 - Enrollment Period:-
a - Junior Division/Wing ( Boys/ Girls ) - 2 years.
b - Senior Division/Wing ( Boys/ Girls) - 3 years.

The minimum age to join NCC for a candidate is 13 years and the maximum age should be 26 years. A candidate can NCC in the class 9th as Junior division however the students can join only from the government school. The NCC (National Cadet Corps) includes three types of certificates and requires five years to complete the certification course. Two years are required to get an A Certificate, two years for B Certificate, and one year for a C Certificate.
