Sir, Can I join nit agartala after passing out from council of secondary board, New Delhi by getting 68% marks and 70 score in jee mains.

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination. It has two stages namely JEE Main exam and JEE Advanced exam. Admission in National Institute of Technology is given on rank which is based on your score in JEE Main and 10+2 marks.

The cut off marks for JEE Main was 100 marks and you have scored less than it. It means that you have not even qualified in this exam, so there is no chance that you will get admission in any National Institute of Technology even if you belong to OBC category.

Only those candidates would be eligible to get admisison in any National Institute of Technology who have qualified Joint Entrance Examination Main and scored good percentage of marks in 10+2.

The cut off marks for JEE Main in 2016:

General candidate: 100 marks.

OBC candidates: 70 marks.

SC: 52 marks.

ST: 48 marks.

If you belong to ST category then, you have some chance of getting admission in NIT, Agartala otherwise no chance.

NIT, Agartala is one of the best NIT and to get admission in it your rank must be less than 15000.

But, as you have not qualified in JEE Main ( first stage of JEE ). It is not possible to get admission in it.

The cut off score was 100 for General , 70 for OBC, 52 for SC and 48 for ST. So, you are not eligible for admission also your board aggregate is also not much better. So your overall rank will be not be near about 15000.

There is no possibility for any candidate to get admission in NIT Agartala after scoring just 70 marks in JEE Main and 68 % marks in 10+2 board exams. You must be aware that cut off marks for in JEE Main exam was 100 marks for general category candidates and 70 marks for OBC and 52 marks for SC candidates.

To get admission in NIT, you must have good score in JEE Main examination and more than 90% aggregate marks in your 12th standard. As you are having average score in your 12th standard and less marks in JEE Main examination, you cannot get admission in NIT Agartala.

NIT is National Institute of Technology. NIT Agartala is also top college. Candidate must score decent marks in JEE and 10+2 to get admission in this college.

Cut off marks for different category is different. For 2016,

General category candidates have to score minimum of 100 marks and OBC candidates have to score 70 marks. The cut off marks for SC/St candidate was 52 marks and 48 marks respectively then how can you get admsision with such a low marks.

You have a chance to get admission in NIT Agartala after scoring 70 marks in your JEE entrance exam. Also your have scored average marks in your 12th exam which also improve your all over India rank. So my suggestion to you is that you should positively participate in the online counselling and fill "NIT Agartala" as your primary choice. If your rank comes under their(NIT) cutoff then you will definitely get admission in NIT Agartala.

JEE Main is an examination which is conducted by CBSE for admission of candidates in NITs. This year cut off marks was 100 marks.

You have only scored 70 marks in this exam and if you belong to reserved category then also there is less chance that you will get admission in any NIT either it is Agartala or anyone else.
