for appearing for IES you have to complete your BE/B.Tech.so keep in mind you have to crack that and preprare from now.

please complete your B.Tech at first because eligible criteria for IES bellow

1.A candidate must be either:

(a) a citizen of India, or

(b) a subject of Nepal, or

(c) a subject of Bhutan, or

(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to Indian before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

2.age:-A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st August, of the current year

3.minimum education qualification :-obtained a degree in Engineering from a University

Hello friend,

I regret to tell you that you can't sit for the IES exam as this exam is only for four engineering branches which are: Civil,Mechanical,Electronics and Communications,Electrical.

Computer science students are not eligible to apply for this exam.

So try for some other competitive exams.

Apearing candidates are not eligible to appear for IES, only those who had completed there Engineering are eligible to apply.

IES is divided into 4 Categories, viz: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics and TeleCommunication.

So, you have to either go through Electronics & Telecommunication or Electrical, and both will be very difficult for you to cope up. However, there is no problem in trying.

I can't get you the question what you say? check it out the question friend, 4th year can do the exam , but third year can't, but you prepare for the exam from first year itself, i wii send the attachment , check it out the modal question for electronic and electrical... Best of luck Friend.

dear you have choosen very good future for you.but for becoming IAS you have to complete your BEthen only you can apply for that.IAS is not a easy task for this you have to work hard o lot.about 10-12 hours study is require to crack the exam of the IAS.ok best of luck for your dream future.

sorry, third year computer science engineering students can't give IES exam.

as minimum qualification graduation is require to attain in the IES exam.

and minimum 60% marks in BTECH is require to attain in the IES exam.

age limit for IES exam is 21-29 years.

you need to complete your graduation course for going through IES exam with minimum 60% aggregate,age limit:-21-29years.
You can get the applications from the head post office since its one of the exams conducted by UPSC.
IES Exam consists of three stages

1.preliminary stage conducted in 53 selected cities.

2.main test

you are still in 3rd year
you can give the exam but at the time of joining you should have your degree certificate in your hands.

so keep preparing for this exams
because to write the IES exams
eligiblity conditions are:-
1.age between 21 to 30years
2.degree from recognised university
3.must be indian

sir i have completed my B.E in I.T from pune university,could please tell me the difference between M.S & M.E degree...criteria for it....

You would be eligible for IES next year,a final year student or a graduate student can appear for UPSC exem...

Sorry a final year engineering student or a student having engineering degree can write IES Exam.
You will be eligible in your final year of engineering.

can final year electronics and instrumentation students sit for ies?

really cse student can give IAS,IPS,PCS,IES,PSU,GATE..test
& have it same syllabus for these tests

To give IES exam you must have completed your graduation degree from a recognized university.

IES Exam Eligibility:
Age Eligibility:You need to be between 21 years to 30 years on the 1st August, 2011.
Age relaxations exist as per Govt. rules.
Academic Eligibility:You must be a graduate in Engineering from a recognized university.

Hiiiiiii,

IES (Indian Engineering Service) examinations are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

NO, third year computer science engineering students cannot give IES examination.

Eligibility criteria for UPSC IES exam are as follows: -

1. Age - 21 Years to 30 Years for General candidates, 21 Years to 33 Years for OBC candidates and 21 Years to 35 Years for SC / ST candidates.

2. Pass graduation / Bachelor’s degree in any subject or in any engineering stream or equivqlent from a recognised institute / university.

3. Nationality - Indian

NOTE: - Final year appearing candidates can also apply.

Hi,

The minimum eligiblity is:

Candidate must have cleared graduation or an equivalent examination from a recognized institution.
Also, candidates in the final year of the course, who intend to appear for the graduation exam the same year may apply.

Since you are in 3rd year, so you are not applicable.
However, you may be applicable, once you are in the final year.

also in IES there is no paper CS related.

You can give entrance paper of IES after completion of graduation.The main

requirment for te entrance paper of ies is graduation.So you can give ies exam

after graduation.You have very good time to prepare for ies exam.Do work

hard.You have 1 year for preperation so it will be very good for you.
