I have completed M.A. in Geography (specialisation in Geomorphology) from "University of Pune". I am also appeard for M.Sc. in Geo-Informatics from "Symbiosis Institute of Geo-Informatics" batch 2009-11.
Can I get any research related job in ISRO.
Or can I get any other opportunity in ISRO with above qualification, that is for example Ph.D. with fellowship, or M.Tech., etc.

You can take your carrier as GEOINFORMATICS is a part of study in aeronautics. You can join PHYSICAL SCIENCE branch in aerinautics. But you have to qualify the entrance exam.

As you have completed M.Sc. in Geo-Informatics you can go for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) offered by Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Hyderabad.

For this year there is only one post is available for JRF in Geo-Informatics.
So be prepare for this post. For preparation you should stress in the following :-
working knowledge in Computer Programming, GIS Software, Statistical techniques and Aptitude for Research work.

Why there is no particular institute for geographer like for geology GSI , for econimics ISI , for history ASI . There are so many geography students in india even i am a MA geography 2002 batch. In IAS sylabus geography is having more topics in compare to other.Government should do something for geographer that may be MA or MSc.
