A law degree can open the door to a wide variety of careers. Lawyers play an important role in society through the practice of law, which encompasses a multitude of activities. A strong education in law school also provides the ability to pursue employment opportunities outside of the legal profession in areas such as politics and business.

There ar very few good institiute in india for LAW,admission to which is based on an entrance exam called CLAT.Minimum eligibility criteria of which is class 12 passed with atleast 50% aggregate. For more details of it you can visit its official website- http://www.clat.ac.in/

Best of luck

Career Options and Job Prospects : One who wishes to become an advocate and practice law as a profession in India, should enroll with the local State Central Bar council.

dear friend,
u can pursue law both after 12th and graduation.....after 12th it takes only 5 years while after graduation it takes 3 year... but the point is after ur graduation or PG, u can decide easily as to which branch of law suits u ....like some hit combinations are CS+LLB(business law),MSW+LLB(human rights),MS(ENVIRONMENT SCIENCE) + LLB(ENVIRONMENT LAW), B.Com or CA or CMA +LLB(taxation), BA(POL SC)+INTERNATIONAL LAW.
if u really know wat type of lawyer u want to be then go for law after 12 and if u dont then first pursue ur graduation

law is still one of the most coveted profession all over the world. unlike india, in US the best minds go for law. but do a reality check on urself as to if u have the ability to stand up and argue, work tirelessly and run your mind...if u do, go for it,
there are many law branches to choose from, and study law with a plan and purpose

There is very good carreer in the law so you need not have to worry for that..........

Most law colleges today admit students for the 5 year course on the basis of an entrance exam.

Some colleges like GLC Mumbai and ILS Pune admit students directly based on their performance in the qualifying exams (10+2 or its equivalent).

So you may or may not have to give the exam for the admission in the LAW colleges.

After 10+2 you can become a lawyer by doing BA.LLB.
To do BA.LLB you must clear CLAT(Common Law Admission Test).

For further information about CLAT you can visit http://www.clat.ac.in/webpages/
