If your age in between 18 to 24 then you are absolutely eligible for CDS exem,Your qualification is enough for official level,you can apply for it...

the CDS is the COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES ...
this exam is conducted by the UPSC
eligibility include graduation with minimum of the 60% marks throughout the career .....

Combined Defence Services examination is conducted twice a year by UPSC.

The examination is conducted for four academies.
Indian Military Academy
Air Force Academy
Naval Academy
Officers Training Academy

Girls candidate may apply only for officers training academy.

The eligibility criteria for Officers Training Academy is;

Educational Qualification: Graduation degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
Age Limit: 18 to 24 years at the time of examination.

If you fulfill the eligibility criteria you can apply for next upcoming CDS examination
i.e. CDS(II)-2011.
The notification for the same will be published on 30th April, 2011 in Employment News
and national dailies and also on the official website of UPSC.
The last date to apply would be 30th May, 2011.

Their are limited vacancy for girls but sure u can apply it

Cds exam-combined defence services examination
educational qualification is:
1.for i.m.a and officer's training academy-degree of recognized university is needed.
2.for indian naval academy:degree in engineering
3.for air force academy:degree of recognized university(with physics and maths in 10th and plus two level) or bachelor degree

The candidates who have completed their graduation are eligible to apply for the Combined defence service examination. Girls are eligible to apply for the CDSE exam. So after the completion of your engineering you can apply for the CDSE exam. This exam is conducted by the UPSC every year.

The details regarding the CDSE exam is given below:

Education Qualification

(i) For IMA and OTA
The candidate applying for the IMA and OTA through CDSE exam should be graduate in any discipline from recognized university.

(ii) For Naval Academy
Candidate applying for the Naval Academy through CDSE exam should have a degree in engineering.

(iii) For Air Force Academy
Candidate applying for the Air Force Academy through CDSE exam should be graduate with physics and maths at 10+2 level.


AGE LIMIT

For IMA
Candidate applying for the IMA should have age between 19 - 24 years

For NA
Candidate applying for the NA should have age between 19 - 22 years

For AFA
Candidate applying for the AFA should have age between 19 - 23years

For OTA

You will be driven to Officers training Academy Just after you clear SSB which is the second stage after clearing CDS Exam.

CDSE Eligibility:-

Educational Eligibility:-
Any degree From recognized university is needed.

Age limits:-
Basically You are Only Eligible For Officers' Training Academy - SSC Women which is Non-Technical Course. But you are Eligible for Technical Course of Navy, army etc if you have done Graduation with science .

For Eligibility Unmarried Women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible.
They should have been born not earlier than 2nd July, 1987 and not later than 1st July, 1993.

CDSE Exam:-

CDSE is an Exam conducted by upsc board twice every year, One will be in the Month of Feb and another will in the month of September.

This year CDS I has already over, It was on 13 of February.
and Next CDS Exam i.e CDS II will be on 18 of September. For CDS II Online and Offline mode of application will be made available from 30th April 2011 till 30th May 2011...

If you want to fill it online then you can fill it up from www.upsconline.nic.in But only after 30th Of April, And if you want to buy Forms then you can buy them from GPO's of your area.

CDSE Pattern:-

For Admission to Officers Training Academy Paper will consists of Two papers
One English of 100 marks which is of 2Hrs duration
Another will be General Knowledge of 100 Marks which is of 2Hrs Duration.

In Combined Defense Service(CDS),their are four category type of fields to do job.

1.Indian Military Army Academy
2.Indian Naval Academy
3.Indian Air Force Academy
4.Indian Officer Training Academy
5.Indian Officer Training Academy

First 1 to 4 are for Male unmarried candidates,who age lies between 19 t0 24 years,19 to 22 years ,19 to 23 years and 19 to 25 years respectively.

And 5th one is for Female unmarried candidates,whose age lies between 19 to 25 years.

So if your age lies between 19 to 2 years,you can apply for CDS exam.

CDS exam notification for this year:

Date of issuing application form from 30th April 2011 to 30th May 2011.

And exam will be held on 18th Sep 2011.

Sorry to say that you are not eligible for the CDS Exam as only unmaaried male candidates are eligible for the CDS exam.

The eligibility criteria for CDS are:

> Candidate must be a citizen of India.

> Candidate must be a unmarried male candidate.

> Candidate must have a age limit 19-24 for Military academy.

For Naval academy candidates must have 19-22 years of age.

As you have said that you are a B.tech student you are eligible but you are not eligible regarding that you are a girl as only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

Girls can write the Combined Defense Services Examination after completing your B.Tech.

For this you must have the following qualifications :

* You must have completed your graduation from any recognized college/university.

* Your age should be in between 18-24 years.

* You must have selected Physics & Maths as your compulsory subjects if willing to apply for Air Force Academy.

iv. For Officers Training Academy – ( SSC Course for Men ) : Male candidates ( married or unmarried ) born not earlier than 2nd January, 1988 and not later than 1st January, 1994 only are eligible.

v. For Officers’ Training Academy – ( SSC Women Non-Technical Course ) :

CDS Educational Qualifications :

1. For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy : Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.

2. For Indian Naval Academy : Degree in Engineering for CDSE and Degree in Engineering or B.Sc. ( with Physics or Mathematics ) for NCC entry.

3. For Air Force Academy : Degree of recognized University ( with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level ) or Bachelor of Engineering.

Graduates with first choice as Army / Navy / Air Force are to submit proof of graduation provisional certificates on the date of commencement of the SSB Interview at the SSB.

Candidates who are studying in the final year Degree course and have yet to pass the final year degree examination can also apply but they will be required to submit proof of passing the degree examination to reach the Army HQ / Rtg.
