i passed the 12 with physics and maths but i taken BA can i give the exam of cdsc

Well depending upon your qualification I can list following entry schemes into Defence Services.

CDS: Combined Defence Service Examination (CDSE) is conducted by upsc (http://www.upsc.gov.in) twice every year for entry into all three defence services.
Eligibility criteria is different for all three. For ARMY- graduation in any background,with at least 60% aggregate Age Limit- 25 years.For Navy: B.sc(with Physics and Mathematics) or B.tech/B.E Age Limit- 22 years.For Airforce- B.E./B.Tech,graduate in any decipline with Physics or Mathematics at class 12 Age Limit- 23 years.

UES (it has both permanent & SSC scheme): university entry scheme,is meant for all male and female candidates those who have attend there first university degree,that is (Bachelor degree). Notification for it are released In Employment news. Both Short service and permanent service is offered through this scheme.


So the thing is that you are eligible for Indian National Army.

In India, army is the most important part of defence.

To join Indian Army you have to fight Civil Defence Services exams i.e. CDS and NDA exams.

Both CDS and NDA exams are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

A. FOR NDA EXAM: -

1. A candidate pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Maths with minimum 50 % aggregate marks from a regonised board.

2. Age Eligibility For Indian Army - 16 Years to 21 Years.

3. Physical Eligibility For Indian Army - A candidate should be physically and mentally fit.

a. Eye Sight = 6/6,
b. Height = 167 cms,
c. Weight: 50 Kg
d. Chest: 77 cm (Normal) / 82 cm (Expanding)

B. FOR CDS EXAM: -

1. A candidate pass graduation in any stream with minimum 50 % aggregate marks from a regonised institute / university.

2. Age Eligibility For Indian Army - 21 Years to 30 Years.

3. Physical Eligibility For Indian Army - A candidate should be physically and mentally fit.

a. Eye Sight = 6/6,
b. Height = 167 cms,
c. Weight: 50 Kg
d. Chest: 77 cm (Normal) / 82 cm (Expanding)

CDSE 2011 eligibility criteria is as follows:

Educational Qualifications:
For Indian Military Academy (IMA)/Officers Training Academy (OTA) : A degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
For Naval Academy: B.Sc. with Physics and/or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering.
For Air Force Academy: B.Sc. of a recognized University or equivalent with Physics and/or Mathematics as subjects or Bachelor of Engineering.


Age:
For IMA: Unmarried male candidates between 19-24 years.
For Naval Academy: Unmarried male candidates between 19-22 years.
For Air Force Academy: Unmarried male candidates between 19-23 years.
For Officers Training Academy: Male candidates (married/unmarried) between 19-25 years.

1. For Indian Military Academy/Officers' Training Academy: Degree from a recognized university or equivalent

2. For Naval Academy: B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering

I think that you are trying to ask about the educational qualification required to appear in the CDS exam , is it 12th or graduation.

If I am right , then my dear friend , i just want to tell you that CDS stands for Combined Defeence Services . CDS exam is conducted by UPSC twice every year for the recruitment of candidates in :

The Eligibility Criteria to appear in CDS exam are :

* You must have completed your graduation with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognized college / university.

* You must be a citizen of India.

* Your age must lie in between 21-30 years.

* You must be physically and mentally fit.

So , according to the above given , criteria , it reflects that you must have to complete your graduation first to be eligible for the CDS exam.

But , friend if you want to join defence and you are 12th pass , then you can appear in NDA exam if you fulfill the below given criteria :

* You must be a citizen of India.

* Your age must lie in between 16.5-19 years.

* You must be physically and mentally fit.

* You must have passed 12th with PCM as your key subjects and must have scored a minimum of 45% marks.

Yes, you can apply for CDS after BA.

CDS - Combined Defence Service examination is conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II for entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years with good Physical and Mental health.

As you are pursing BA, after completion of which you can only eligible to apply for Indian Military Academy and Officer''s Training Academy of CDS.
