The Applicant Need to Passed in +2 (or) Equivalent Examination in any stream from recognized University / Institution . You should score Minimum 50% Percentage of marks in Bachelor degree and 5% relaxation will applicable for 5% for sc/st candidates . Final year candidate may also eligible to apply for this Examination . The Applicant age should not more then 20 years and relaxation will Applicable for sc/st candidates for 2 years .

• CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test. This exam is conducted by the fourteen National Law Universities periodically. If you want to do graduation or post graduation in law then you can give this exam. Pursuing law as a career has increasingly become very popular these days with so many students every year applying for this exam.

CLAT Exam Eligibility Criteria:

• If you want to sit for this exam then you need to pass higher secondary exam of a recognized board with not less than 50% of marks. General category candidates needs to secure this percentage at 10+2 level.
  
• For the reserved category candidates there is some relaxation in the percentage of marks to obtain. SC/ST, OBC candidates and persons with disabilities needs to have minimum 45% of marks at 10+2 level to give this exam.
  
• Your age should not be more than 20 years when applying for this exam. Since there is age relaxation for the reserved category candidates therefore for them the upper age limit is 22 years.

• For the written examination you will mostly need to face multiple choice type questions where there will be four options for each question. You need to choose the right answer. The total time limit for the exam is two hours and all in all there will be 200 questions to answer. For each right answer you will get one mark and there is no negative marking.
  
• Subject areas with weightage:

English including Comprehension (40 Marks)
General Knowledge/ Current Affairs (50 Marks)
Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability) (20 Marks)
Legal Aptitude (50 Marks)
Logical Reasoning (40 Marks)
