I think you have not mentioned the information completely about which entrance exam are you talking of .

So never mind I am assuming that you have given the AIEEE entrance exam and scored 79 marks in that .

So my friend after scoring 79 marks I don't think you will get any of the colleges through the AIEEE central counseling in the first 5 rounds ...
But then if you wait for the spot round then you might get any of the private colleges through the central counseling but then you won't get your choice branch ..

But then I would suggest you to take part in the various state counseling which take admission in the various private colleges of their state on the basis of the AIEEE rank ...

The states which take admission in the various private colleges of their state on the basis of the AIEEE rank are Orissa , west bengal , Maharashtra ....

Dear friends in your question no entrance exam mention through you get 79 marks in OBC category.Next time you mention or describe fully date what you want to ask for better answer provide to you.

you have not mention in your question , in which college you want to read & what to
read . if you have passed 10th exam then you can take admission in 12th college
or junior college
if you are 12th pass you can take admission in +3 or in engineering college

incomplete question!

you have not mentioned the exam which you have given...so i am taking it as AIEEE...as it is the most common examination...
talking about AIEEE, at this score,you can expect a NIT...a lower one as your score is not upto the mark...hence,i suggest you to stay in counselling upto the final rounds...you will get into a NIT hopefully...

but you can go for some private college:
1>private college in your state
2>manipal college
3>lovely professional college
4>amity university

Please specify the name of exam in which you have scored 79 marks.
If it is AIEEE then you may get NIT Raipur. In biomedical engineering or bio-technology engineering...

I think Its Better go for some private colleges,
or just wait patiently till the SPOT ROUNDS complete..
Your Marks are too low For You to Fetch A Good College..
