IAS exam is conducted by UPSC. But IAS candidate recruit through Civil Service Exam .

Educational Qualification :-

Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognized university , the final year students also eligible for applying preliminary examination

Age criteria :-

Candidates age should between 21 years to 30 years for general candidates

5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates
3 years relaxation for OBC Candidates
10 years relaxation for PHC candidates
5 years relaxation for Ex-serviceman

Attempt Limit:-

General Candidate can maximum 4 Times
OBC Candidate can Maximum 7 Times
SC/ST there is no attempt Limit

IAS exam is considered as one of the most sort after competitive exams .

IAS is a one of the civil service examination

IAS examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission once a year

Eligibility Criteria :

Nationality : Indian

Educational Qualification : Graduation in any stream (OR) any equivalent from a recognized University

Age Limit :

not more then 30 years & not less then 21 years as on 1st August of the year in which examination is being held

The upper age limit may be relaxed in respect of the OBC & SC/ST candidates

Number of Attempts :

General category : 4 Times

General Physically handicapped belonging to general category : 7 times

OBC category : 7 tomes

SC/ST category : No limit

A candidate must have completed their Graduation Study in any Discipline from Recognized Universities are eligible for Indian Administrative Service exam....

Final years student who are waiting for their final result can also apply for it....


Age Limit:

General Age Limit is 21-30 years. but there is relaxation is available for reserved category....


Relaxation on Upper Age:

For OBC category : up to 33 years

For SC/ST category : up to 35 years


No. Attempt:

There are only 4 attempts for General category For OBC 7 attempt limit and for SC/ST no attempt limit.....
