To apply for SET Examination, you have to complete your Post graduate degree course from a recognised University and You must have scored Minimum 55% Marks in your Post Graduation degree course, Final year appearing candidates are also apply for SET Examination. For Previous year Both SET Examination was completed and If you are Interested in this examination then please wait for this year Notification. SET is only eligible for being selected as lecturer and not for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). There is no upper age restrictions to apply for Lectureship Post, But you have to attained the age of 19 Years. You have to choose the subjects in SET on the Basis of your Post graduation. There are 3 papers in this examination and you have to cracked all the papers, the examination is Conducted in same day in 2 session, The 1st 2 papers is Objective and Last paper is descriptive. The syllabus and Previous year papers of SET Examination is availiable in the official website. The last SET exam was held in August 14th 2011 only, and all are waiting for the result and the next SET exam was not announced yet.

State Eligiblity Test
This examination was conducted by UGC Twice in a year generally done in the month of June and December every year.You can apply for the June examination but can not apply for the December examination Notification is not yet announced for june examination .Only those students who have done post graduation can apply for the exams. ELIGIBLITY Those students who have got master’s Degree with 55% from universities recognised by UGC you can apply for the examination Final year students are also take the exam. Age limit :: For Junior Research Fellowship - You should be not more than 28 years. A relaxation upto 5 years is provided to SC, ST and for OBC candidates. For Lectureship - There is no upper age limit for applying for lectureship. Examination Pattern There will be total three papers in the examination .one paper is common for all students who have applied for the NET examination .Two papers will be done on the optional subjects which you have chosen . Paper-I :: It is done to test the teaching/research aptitude in the students. Question asked will be based on :: Reasoning ability Comprehension Divergent thinking General awareness.
