Profile:
Indian Institute of Astrophysics came into existence in 1971. It is a premier institute dealing with the research work in the field of astronomy (space also), astrophysics (solar eclipse, lunar eclipse study etc.) and related physics. It has set up many telescopes in the country and still planning to set up a large telescope.
Job Profile:
Candidates are invited to apply for the posts of Scientist and Engineer in Indian Institute of Astrophysics depending on their educational qualification.
Eligibility:
Candidates should have age less than the prescribed minimum age limit and also more than the prescribed maximum age limit set for the post.
Educational Qualification:
Degree from any recognized institute or university is required for the posts of Scientists and Engineer in Indian Institute of Astrophysics.
No. of posts: Several posts are available for both the positions.
Pay Scale:
Scientist: Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.
Engineer: Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.
Selection process:
Selection for the posts of Scientist and Engineer will be made on the basis of candidates’s performance in personal interview test.
