If you want to make career in computer application or in IT field i will prefer you to do B.CA after 12th from English medium. In case you have decided career in chemical , agricultural, medical , statistical field then i will prefer you to do B.Sc from government college.
Admission to both course are done in colleges mostly by direct entrance exam or by 12th merit list. |

Re: Which course to study B.Sc or BCA after completion of 2nd PUC science?
It depends upon candidate's interest. Both Bachelor of Computer Application and Bachelor's degree in science are good courses. You can opt for any course depending upon your interest.
Suppose if you are interested in computer and its application then you can choose BCA for your bachelor's degree. In case if you are interested in PCM subjects then you can select B.Sc course in Physics or Mathematics or Chemistry etc. Some colleges take direct admission based on percentage of marks in PUC and some conduct entrance exam for admission. You can get details about your desired college at its official website. |

Re: Which course to study B.Sc or BCA after completion of 2nd PUC science?
B.Sc stands for Bachelor of Science and BCA stands for Bachelor of Computer Applications.
Both the courses are 3 year Graduation level courses being offered by number of colleges in India. But in B.Sc course there are variety of streams like B.Sc Maths Physics Chemistry B.Sc Maths Electronics Computers B.Sc Maths Statistics Computers B.Sc Maths Physics Computers It is not that B.Sc is a good choice and BCA is not a good choice or vice versa. Both the courses imbibe you with the computer knowledge. If you are interested in Electronics or Statistics, then you can opt for the respective stream in B.Sc otherwise you can join BCA course. There is no entrance exam required for the candidates to get admission for any of these courses. You need to secure a minimum of 50% of marks in your 10+2. Soon after the completion of any of these courses, I would suggest you to opt for Post Graduation in MCA. MCA is a 3 year Post Graduation program in Computer Science field. Post the completion of this course, you are having good number of job opportunities in software companies. Better to get the job in campus placements itself otherwise there is huge competition in the outside market. |

Re: Which course to study B.Sc or BCA after completion of 2nd PUC science?
According to me you should opt BCA as because it is a vocational course and also known as technical degree. This is computer based degree and if you should go through B.Sc then you will not get any type of advantage. As because completing simply graduation from Science stream is not beneficial in this era where every person is career oriented. After completing BCA you should pursue MBA which is a large field of private sector jobs as well as government jobs. That is why you can go for BCA. But the last choice is yours.
