Is D.Ed compulsory for TET?

I have completed my Graduation and I want to write TET examination. I have not done D.Ed or B.Ed as of now. So, can I still apply for TET? Or, would I have to do either D.Ed or B.Ed first?

The first thing I would like to let you know is that for appearing in TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) a teacher training course as D.Ed./D.El.Ed/B.Ed. or equivalent is required along with regular academic degree courses.

So, having not pursued any teacher training course, you are not eligible to apply for any TET irrespective of your higher educational qualification.

So, in order to get into teaching field, you are required to pursue either D.Ed. or B.Ed. or any equivalent course before appearing and qualifying TET.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
