i didn't get cleared in my CPT held on June 2011, I want to attempt for an online exam, so please can i get the information when will the next online CPT held???

JUNE

SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER

and notification come before 2 months ..

as you said u have attempted june exam and for next notification you need to wait for notification...

as last year the notification came around mid of September....just wait..

THE exam pattern consists of 4 hours of two papers and each of 2 hours..

Syllabus

session I

Section A consists of Fundamental of Accounting of 60 marks

Section B consists of Mercentalie Law of 40 marks.

session II

Section A consists of General Economics of 50 marks

Section B consists of Quantitative of 50 marks.

you need to get at least 55% in overall session and 30% in each subject......to crack cpt..

cpt exam is also, you can give in online in next month , but it will be better to prepare for next session in December , which will be more benefit to you .
cpt exam have total 200 marks one correct answer you will get 1 mark, one wrong answer will deduct -2.5 mark.

CPT exam is held in twice a year..in the month of JUNE and OCTOBER .
Notification come before 2 months ..

If you have to attempted june exam and for next notification you can wait for the notification as at the last year,notification came around mid of September.

Well the CPT examinations are held

Firstly,in month of June.
Secondly,in December.

And the notifications with reference to actual dates are available only around two and half - three months before.
So,I am sorry to say that I am unable to provide you with the actual date here.But I must say that you should get yourself registered before 1st October and be prepared with an approximation of December 4 (as per previous schedules)for the examination.

Dear friend,

Those candidate who have passed Common Proficiency Test and Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) conducted by an examination body constituted by law in India
or
an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto and passed CPT may join the Professional Competence Course.

These exams are conducted twice every year generally on the first Sunday of the months of June and December.

There is no restriction on the number of attempts a student can make at the CA CPT examination.

CA CPT Syllabus 2012:-

No. of papers:- One

Duration:- Four years

Marks:- 200

Two Sections - Two hours - 100 Marks

Section A:- Fundamentals of Accounting ( 60 Marks )
Section B: Mercantile Law ( 40 Marks )
Section C: General Economics ( 50 Marks )
Section D: Quantitative Aptitude ( 50 Marks )

EXAM DATE:-

June Examination:-

CA CPT(Common Proficiency Test) is usually conducted twice a year by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
It consists of four subjects which can be mentioned as follows:-
1)Fundamentals of Accountancy.
2)Economics
3)Merchantile law
4)Quantitative aptitude

All of the subjects are asked for 50 marks and consists of 50 questions each
This exam is usually conducted in the month of June and December.
As the exam is already held in the month of June , the next would be held in the month of December.
The passing marks is to get at least 100 out of 200.Means you must score at least 50% in the examination to qualify for the intermediate level of examination.
