for GATE life sciences (XL code) the following subjects are as follows

1. Chemistry-----Compulsory
2. Biochemistry(I)
3. Botany (J)
4. Microbiology(K)
5. Zoology(L)
out of these u have to choose the chemistry subject as mandatory
From the options 2,3,4,5 U can make u r choice
